6/23/2020. You deserve 0 stars. Why did you put oil and rocks/pebbles over Oceanside sections of highway 78... the front end of my brand new car is chipped up. It must be re-painted, can not be buffed out. Whoever made the decision to lay rocks/pebbles and oil on a highway need to be fired. Tell me where I send the bill for re-painting my two-week-old car.

I didn't like the feel and service at the front desk/security. how different from a private business. this place is there because of all of our taxes but public isn't welcome. how strange. the people at the actual department were much more helpful but I had to call them on my phone, even though I was right there at the front door - and they had to come to the door, I was not allowed in. they must place much more customer service oriented people at the front and reconsider security vs 'we the people'.

I have lived in la mesa along the 94 west and 125 south since 1963 when it used to just be 94 west! Since then this has turned into a collage of a MESS! Since I don't know what leader in caltrans took over this division and so many people utilizing this freeway and haven't noticed what a dump, travesty and a fire hazard this has become!! If you called any title company which is free.99 by the way and had the addresses of the homes along the freeways pulled the majority would belong to caltrans and they rent them to anyone who add to the trash problem by dumping and littering while neglecting there own landscaping causing more fire hazards!! something needs to be done they have caused la mesa the "jewel of the hills" to become the "dump of the hills" with the freeways being the biggest eye sore !! Listen with open ears everyone it is such an embarrassment I detour people to another freeway (the 8 east) when directing to my home just to avoid them seeing how horrible it makes the homes look and I'm sure I'm not the only one! I've been quiet long enough and today I break my silence if something is not done and soon I will be headed towards a media complaint!

My car was damaged by hundreds of thousands of rocks left on the freeway in the emergency lane. They also sat there for over a year, damaging other vehicles, i'm certain as well. I took them to small claims, Teri Cavazos, and I got my $1000 judgment. I waited two months, and wrote them twice and called them once, and they are ignoring Judge Doft's order to pay. I will be going back to court to force the payment of my judgment. They probably have a fund with millions of dollars in it so they can pay for damaging cars, and they don't even send a check. If you get your vehicle damaged on the freeway from something they did, and they don't pay, make sure you take them to court and go after them. They need to take responsibility for the damage they cause, or their sub contractors. My car has been damaged for over a year, and they could care less about the motorists that they are there to protect.

Otay lakes road is maintained by the county of San Diego or the city of Chula Vista. They both have an online reporting system.
