This is a very big skatepark. Be sure to go early or in the afternoon when sun is out less crowd for sure. The staff was nice and informative. Also get there before your session to fill out the waiver. Only complaint is that they have such a tiny place for parking where you might have to wait a little.

Great skatepark, and no scooters allowed !! I did prefer the old setup of the clover bowl and the smaller bowl instead of the flipped combi and flow bowl. everyone having to wear helmets even spectators is abit annoying

So much fun go early on weekdays tho bring a helmet worth it I know helmets suck but put it in skating up you’ll forget it’s there by the time you are in

Haven't been back yet but many thanks for reopening. Having to wear a helmet is small price to pay for being able to skate such an amazing park for free. They were hit w a lawsuit so it's no surprise that they are requiring helmets. If you're 'too grown' for a helmet and somehow have invincibility, go skate elsewhere. If kids can wear a helmet without complaining, so can adults.
The park is open Monday through Sunday 9am til 8 pm. Wednesdays are reserved for bmx bike but the back bowl is open for skateboard. You do need to fill out a waiver...it is good for 2 years. And the park is no cost. You can rent protection pads.
No, only for special events,, usually corporate,or pros, filming or photos. That's it. Call them ,might have changed since I checked it out 2 weeks ago..
Hey there - we will be visiting from New Zealand next year with 2 boys who love to scoot. Can we hire knee and elbow pads?

Yes but they dont allow scooters if that's what you mean by love to scoot.
If they do ride scooters, google other parks around the Southland, like Peck Park in San Pedro or Belvedere Park in East L.A. or Harbor City Park in Harbor City

I have never seen one there you could call there's people there at the skatepark you could probably call them and ask and I believe Wednesday is Bicycle Day
