As with Portia’s Diner, the cafe calls to those with a willingness to enjoy, perhaps expand their palette; at least, that’s my case. Super friendly folks and finely made food with fresh, quality ingredients. The cafe has a more robust menu and more seating, both places are wonderful.

Love this clean vegan eating! I had the breakfast bowl and it was delicious!! My sister had a waffle and that was the tastiest, fluffiest waffle ever! Yum!

The service was fantastic. Warm, welcoming, and very helpful with any questions. The food was fresh, made fairly quickly, and delightful. Not being vegan, I could tell you that any meat lover should enjoy their food. Everything was so fresh and being full didn't feel like I was walking out with a bowling ball in my stomach. Thumbs all the way up and around for any, and all aspects. Will definitely go back in the near future.

Great server, really good food, and an awesome environment. They have a huge all vegan menu with a bunch of different breakfast options, unique coffee and latte blends, an extensive list of smoothie and dessert options as well. Definitely try their rosemary home fries!

I am a very sensitive celiac. Would this be a safe place to eat?

Laura Oatney | Jun 7, 2019

Hi Laura! We have no gluten at our facilities, and although we don't buy certified gluten-free grains, beans, grains etc, we buy them in bulk which lessens cross-contamination. In our 6 years of being in business, I've had one case of someone getting a reaction from our local corn chips of which I think the corn is processed in a non-gluten-free facility. So that's the only thing I would feel uncomfortable serving to a sensitive celiac. On that note, we have, and have had very sensitive celiacs working at our cafe and they have had no problems. I hope that helps! Thanks, Portia

Do you have menu items with no oil. I want to start a whole food plant based no oil lifestyle.

Hi Valerie, We actually have a full no-oil menu as most of our items are either oil-free or can be made oil-free. Thanks!

As I'm learning more about good verses bad oils, wondering which ones you use?

Anita Edwards | Jun 6, 2020
Portia's Cafe (Owner) | Jun 7, 2020

Hey Anita! Thanks for looking after your health! We only use olive and coconut oils in our cooking at our cafe and diner, but also have products that contain others, such as the oils in the Earth Balance Buttery spreads and Vegenaise, (neither of which have genetically modified oils). Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks!
