Great scenery. Great wildlife. Had deer in our camp spot. Stayed in 86. Nice and close to the water. Great for swimming boating hiking you name it! New favorite nearby place!!

One of the best places to go camping. Beautiful surroundings. Great place to go with families and friends! If you have take bikes or roller skates! I recommend going in May because during July and August is always so hot. The place is so hard to book though. Campsites going really fast! One of the best trip we had in Washington! Recommend in 💯

Beautiful area with great views. We spent a few nights here in our RV. The RV spots are well spaced apart and area around is well manicured. (Beware of the sprinkler times.) There are several camp areas all joined together with walking & bike trails. Lots of hiking trails to the top of Steamboat rock (great views and very do-able with good shoes) and through the desert area around it. Great swimming and beach area. The facilities are great and kept very clean. Prices are a bit on the high side, ($50 a night) but what isn't these days.

Loved this out-of-the-way campground. Multiple loops with spacious, level sites. Nice dock for boaters and fish cleaning stations in campground. Lots of paths for walking or biking. Clean and well-maintained.

You are supposed to be able to make reservations 9 months in advance starting May 15th
Yes, most do. But check the restrictions per site on the wa.parks.website
Yes, but it may be difficult to get an open spot during summer as sites are booked months in advanced. You will have better luck mid week for a night or 2.
The cell phone with most major providers is spotty. Generally you have to be next to the lake or towards the play area by concessions to consistently text or call.
Several spaces offer this opportunity.
Go to Washington State Parks website and search for the park. There is a map under the reservation system, with pictures of each site.
There is signage on the ranger station at the entrance that explicitly says no metal detecting allowed anywhere in the park.
Restrooms and showers are open. I imagine they'll shut off the water to the campsites soon, if not already done since last week but washrooms should still have water. It's all first come first served and no reservations allowed this time of year.
There is a cement trail through the park and hiking trails going up the top of steamboat rock you could bike on some of the lower trails but I think it would be to steep on the upper part
No
I think you could go fishing with a bow and not get dirty looks.
Snakes are somewhat rarre to see but you must be vigilant. The staff spends a lot of effort keeping the park snake safe, but could still see some. Stay cear of rock piles.
Check IMDb you might find an answer
It really depends on the year. We dont have very consistant weather conditions from year to year. There are areas of the lake that are currently frozen over.
While its possible they might enforce harder at some point, we've certainly heard fireworks from boats and whatnot nearby the campground on the fourth.
They are allowed at the Steamboat Rock State Park, but not other campsites in the area. They were allowed late July, early August. You may want to call to.confirm they are still allowed.
Check out the primitive campsites accessible only by boat!
Not in the park but yes there is a few miles away
It's first come first serve until April 1st. After that you need reservations.
We were there August 2 to August 13. One very smoky day but otherwise it just looked hazy. Wind came up our last day and it was completely clear (making us realize there had been smoke).
