There are precious shades in the park. Many picnic benches. Has a small beach, a bit muddy. A public rest room. There is also RV camping site. $50-60 a night. To enter the park, it uses discovery park pass or day use park entrance fee is $10. Drive by is free. Ideal place in the summer.

Beautiful Campground! The view can't be beat from pull through sites along the outsides of the circle, we had site 21, a picnic table and lots of room. Super clean and well kept, there is a long drop off down to the river so if you have kiddos you may want to choose an inside site. Full hook-ups. There's a nice boat ramp at the bottom of the hill. There is also a store a few miles down at the junction, and what looked like a restaurant, the petrified forest is nearby. We are already looking forward to going back here!

I like the park, the views, etc. But the wind here is a bit of a bummer and keeps me from giving it five stars. Check the forecast before you go.

For sure one of my favorite campgrounds … especially on the shoulder season. It is windy but I like that. All the spots have hookup and they are all nice. I prefer the upper campground because it has a better view. The lower one is closer to the water. You need to bring everything with you as the nearest grocery store is at least 30 miles.

Yes, better luck from a boat, kayak etc. Fishing from shore is possible depending on the level of the river. Happy fishing
