The management team here is horrible. There was water leaking from the upstairs apartment down our walls and inside the walls. There was mold all over the place. When asked if they were going to cut into the walls to let it dry out and take care of the mold, all they told us to do was to wipe it down. I am certain the inside of the walls are covered in mold as it keeps coming back through the walls. Management team has no empathy, no proactiveness whatsoever regarding resident concerns. Whoever is managing the office should not be in this kind of industry as she lacks empathy and friendliness. During one of our conversations, she said," We cannot even be having this conversation unless you pay off your balance. (Covid balance) " She offered no insight, help, or anything really. The maintenance staff here is probably the only good thing about this place. They are attentive and friendly; and explain things thoroughly.

The property is beautiful and well-kept and there are lots of amenities as well which are great. There is a fair amount of parking for residents and not a bad guest parking system. However, we've had several concerns rise up in less than 1 year of living here and were disappointed with how these issues were handled by office staff. The management team needs to respond to resident concerns and follow up in a timely manner. They did not show any urgency when there was a 6-month old beehive in the master bedroom of our apartment and took months to resolve the issue. We also had issues with our water heater (no hot water for an entire week-twice) and had gas leakage from the dryer. Trash was always overflowing in the trash room. Our disappointment specifically lies with the management team. When we brought up our concerns, they showed a lack of urgency/proactiveness, responsiveness, and accountability. We understand issues that occur are outside the control of staff, but their care/responsibility/accountability is what matters to us. Security was also disappointing as one of our cars was broken into inside the garage and no follow-up was given. Maintenance staff tried their best to help us resolve the issues as they arose and we appreciate them. Another thing to note about this property is that there is construction right next door at the school every day early in the morning (this is not the property's fault of course but thought I'd mention it here). Overall, it is a nice property but due to management, we do not feel like our concerns are taken seriously and for that reason we will not be renewing our lease. EDIT 1/31/22: I have lowered the rating from 2 to 1 star. The bees returned to my apartment and the only solution that the management team offered was for us to move-out as soon as possible. Our lease ends in April and we were not given enough notice to make living arrangements. They did not offer any compensation for moving fees, putting us in a hotel, storage fees, etc. They only offered some money off the first month for a different unit that is way more expensive than our current one plus we'd have to sign a brand new lease which we do not want to do.

I lived here for three years: two years in a three bedroom apartment and one year in a two bedroom apartment. The apartments are nice enough for apartments, and the amenities are pretty good. However, there were a number of issues that really ruined the experience. 1. When I moved into the two bedroom unit from the three bedroom unit, my friend and his girlfriend moved out while myself and my other friend moved into the two bedroom. When it came to returning the deposit, a letter was sent explaining the charges and contained a bill for the charges beyond the deposit. However, this letter was only sent to the new address of my friend and his girlfriend who had moved out, and they never saw it. Without speaking to either of us who still lived in the building, they sent the amount to collections. There were many charges we would have liked to dispute, but neither collections or the Mira Bella office were willing to work with us as the issue had already been settled with collections. It is also worth noting that even though the bill was sent to my friends who had moved out, collections only contacted the two of us who still lived in the complex. We never even got to see the bill beforehand. 2. COVID was hard on all of us. Mira Bella had shut down all amenities as requested by the government but still charged full rent. This is something that almost all apartment complexes did, but it does not make it any less sleazy and should be noted. They also wanted to raise our rent by 10% when we moved out. 3. Reliant parking is in charge of monitoring parking. It felt as though they were just looking for reasons to tow cars as three times my or my roommate's car was towed in the three years we lived there. As tenants, this should never had happened. I have heard complaints from others I know in San Diego about this parking service. I really thought paying over $1200/person for an apartment complex would be a much better living situation.

I will give 2 stars. The area and amenities/facilities are nice. Apartment is gorgeous. Amy and Ashley are nice and helpful. Thats the only nice things I can say. Within a month both cars were broken into and picked clean. I mean down to a steering wheel. I would be better off with them stealing my tires. Not all cameras in the parking garage work. Only a few. May as well keep a cut out of a guard next to my car. If you use any food delivery service then you best stand outside your door ready to snatch it. Leave it there 5 minutes and it will be gone. I have never lived at a place where I've felt more on edge and paranoid. And good luck getting out of your lease. Boy no matter what it's 2 months rent. Maybe a month. May as well batten down the hatches and go through the rest of your lease. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANY military member. Anyone at all actually. It's a mirage of an oasis in a desert. This post is 100% real and true by the way. My lease can't end soon enough.

It's a very safe area and the community is gated with cameras. During my year there I saw only one incident with police in an area across the baseball field. My wife walked back and forth to work during this time, which was at Rady children's hospital fifteen minutes away.
