HeadShots standard editing process takes 5 business days. If you're in a rush, clients can purchase Expedited Delivery ($50) which guarantees your edited photos will be returned within 24 hours.

All proofs are emailed within 24 hours during business days. For instance, if your shoot is on a Monday, you will receive your unedited photos by midnight on Tuesday. If your shoot is on a Wednesday, you will receive your unedited photos by midnight on Thursday. If your shoot is on a Friday, you will receive your unedited photos by midnight on Monday. If you need your headshot within 24 hours, you can request that your photographer send the proofs on the same day as your shoot. In combination with Expedited Delivery ($50), you will get your edited photos by midnight of the following day. We have been known to expedite the process further in extreme/emergency circumstances.

For business cards, we would typically recommend a studio backdrop. While the proper outdoor blurry background looks AWESOME, business card headshots are often too small for the background to be noticeable. With that in mind, we recommend a studio backdrop that has high-contrast to the color of your business card.

Yup! All sessions come with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you don't absolutely LOVE your headshot, we will offer you a free re-shoot at our studio within 60 days of your original session. This offer is a "No Questions Asked" guarantee, so don't worry about being pressured to provide a reason for the re-shoot. 99% of the time that this guarantee is used, it's because the client realized that they didn't like the shirt/hairstyle they selected for the shoot. Even though the problem is technically the "client's fault", we are more than happy to give you another session.

Yes! We have tons of advice on how to prepare for your headshot session. Broadly speaking there's 12 things you should do before your HeadShots Inc session. The Day Before: 1) Check the Schedule 2) Check your Email (For outdoor shoots we will confirm the suitability of weather the night before.) 3) Get 8 Hours of Sleep 4) Prep Outfit The Morning Of: 1) Dress for the Job You Want (At minimum, an ironed wrinkle-free button-down shirt.) 2) Shave, or Don't (Clean and/or consistent facial hair key. Anything in the middle looks sloppy.) 3) Manage Stray Hairs (Water can go a long way.) Five Minutes Before: 1) Check Your Hair (Hair tends to have a mind of its own during the work day.) 2) Check Your Face (No spinach in the teeth etc.) 3) Check Your Top (Specifically adjust your collar and clothing wrinkles.) 4) Check Your Glasses (Clean 'em!) 5) Relax! The right answer depends on your personality and industry. For private equity, law services, venture capital, or any other professional services - we highly recommend a collared button-down shirt with a blazer. During your shoot, we can alternate between blazer + no-blazer so that you still have a more casual option. Yup! Depending on the location, we will only be able to shoot at specific times of day. Some locations are only available during the morning; other locations only at night. Due to harsh over-head lighting, we avoid shooting headshot sessions in the three hours around noon. Yup! All sessions have the options for Expedited Delivery ($50). When purchased, we will send you all original photos on the same day as your shoot. After you have selected your photo, we guarantee to deliver the edited and airbrushed version within 24 hours, but will most likely get it to you by 12pm the following day. Otherwise, edited photos are delivered in 5 business days.

We have availability on Sundays, but not Saturdays. From 3pm to 7pm, you can book a studio session at our downtown San Francisco studio at 580 California Street. On Sunday mornings, we offer On-Demand Sessions at any of our locations across SF.
