Started renting storage Nov. 3, 2021 was moving stuff out on july 2nd 2022 Owner sees me moving my stuff out and asks me to come to the office Says i owe for the month of July but was only going to charge me for half the month Charge me for 2 weeks that i won't be in there Going to check to see if he rents during that time Will be getting paid by 2 people for the same time on that storage unit

I rented a truck to move and was told I could pick it up at 9AM. On the day of the move I arrived just before 9 and saw people already inside so I decided to go in. I was unable to do so because the door was locked. I decided to go back to my car to wait but the door was opened. My daughter who was with me yelled to me the door was open. She told the staff we were there for a truck for me. I went into the building and then told him who I was. He was clearly overwhelmed and frustrated and immediately had an attitude with me. He was holding up his hands, palms out telling me he was busy and needed me to wait outside. He then said he needed 5 minutes. I politely told him I would give him 10. I went back out to wait in my car. My daughter was still milling around waiting patiently. The staff member came out and then said to her, "sometimes in life you have to be patient." He was very pompous, condescending, arrogant, and rude, and had been from the first moment either one of us spoke with him. My daughter told him not to talk to her that way. Another customer wanted to get to her belongings in storage and he treated her in the exact same manner. When he was ready to get the truck and take care of things for me for the rental he began speaking to my daughter about it. I then told him I was Dawn which was the reason I had come into the building earlier. I got the truck and went on my way. I returned the truck the next day. There were 2 staff there and it seemed one was training so I asked the trainer if he was the manager and he told me he was one of them. I asked who had been there the morning before. He told me it was Sean. I asked if he was also a manager and was told yes. At that point I said, "he should be fired." I explained about his arrogance and attitude and also told DJ, as I learned his name was, I had been very closer to going to UHaul the day before. DJ was AMAZING! He was professional and courteous and apologized for my bad experience the day before. If I had only dealt with DJ I believe I would have given MaineSpace a 5 star rating. DJ is also the only reason I gave them a 3 star. One other thing - which I know is petty - Sean reeked of garlic; I could smell it from the other side of the desk. I strongly encourage Sean get some customer service training.

I got a unit that I thought I was going to need, but never ended up using. During that brief time though, all the staff were very kind and courteous. I was super impressed that at one point, I received a call from one staff member who had done a walk-around and noticed that my unit was still unlocked and empty and wanted to make sure everything was good and I still wanted it. Above and beyond service.
