Was visiting My family In Oregon from California and decided to check this place out, the service was great, very clean, and the food was outstanding to say the least! I have not had Ramen this good in California and I would love to see them venture out this way! The amount of flavor packed into their broth was so good! Definitely will be going back when I’m in town next!

Appetizers is very normal but as a ramen place I don’t complain it. The broth and noddle quality is kinda surprise me, I try a lot of different ramen I’m sure for this point, this restaurant is the best in Oregon. Garlic tonkotsu is the best Here. Just look at this restaurant, seems like it’s only available in OR and WA, don’t forget to try it out man.

My girlfriend and I love this place!!! We moved to the area a year ago and once we discovered this place we've been going almost once a month (maybe 8-10 times). The staff is super friendly and the quality of food is great! It can get busy, so if you're dining in get there early. Pricing is very fair so try as many items as possible. You can also get meal kits to take home and cook. Fun!

I'll start out saying it looked like the restaurant was short staffed and maybe that's why they were closing early and my experience here wasn't the greatest, but who knows. We sat for over 20 mins with no service. We had to grab a waiter ourselves to finally get our order taken and then after we got our food I felt like we were forgotten because they didn't come refill our drinks or check in us, and we had to ask the next waiter to come around just to get our bill. The food was hot and fresh but it wasn't anything amazing. I got the gekikara spicy ramen and I will say I did taste the spice despite the look which was shocking and I'm pleased about. However, I feel like the ajitauke tamgo while cooked perfectly, wasn't marinated long enough, and the chasu was a bit tough and dry. Overall I would give them another try to see if it was just an off night but as it stands right now I can't fully recommend this place.

There are vegetarian options, but not many.
I go to both a lot. Id say Kukai gives a little more than Marukin. Theyre both same level of ramen in my opinion. If i was forced to choose which one tastes better, id say Marukin. However, Kukai has a full menu and more ramen options, and more customization available
Friday nights and the weekends are super busy, so I will recommend you to take reservation about 5 hours beforehand. Going without reservation will take you about an hour of wait.
