This is my favorite local yarn store (lys). Jenn (the owner) and the staff are so knowledgeable and welcoming. They have a good variety of yarn including local dyers. They don't carry much low end stock, more middle and high end stuff. A typical skein of yarn in their store is between 8-25 dollars. I love their Tuesday night knit group!

I have returned to Lucky Cat Yarns after meeting Jennifer the new owner. I'm so impressed overall, I have signed up for private lessons. Aside from being a highly skilled knitter, Jennifer is also a true professional and provides support and guidance for beginners like myself. I'm looking forward to learning more knitting patterns and meeting fellow knitters who stop in the shop.

I've been to a number of yarn shops in the area, and Lucky Cat is my favorite. (Full disclosure: I've known the owner since before she bought the shop.) The store is clean and well-organized, and the knitting groups and classes are super-friendly. They will wind skeins you buy there for free, and those you purchase elsewhere for a small fee.

This yarn shop has the friendliest staff who made me feel so welcome and appreciative of my business. I placed a special order which came in as promised and they stored it for me until I could make a return trip, though they offered to ship it to me if that was more convenient. I have been there four times over the past three years and plan to make a special trip there soon to check out their renovation.
