My partner and I brought our 11 week old puppy into the clinic with signs of kennel cough. The staff took amazing care of our dog and answered all of our questions thoroughly. They approached every new case with confidence and diligence. We arrived knowing that this clinic was not first come first serve, but based on the seriousness and condition of each pet. We came prepared to wait! Highly recommend bringing a phone charger and games. There were lots of food options nearby to enjoy while we waited. The staff did a wonderful job of keeping us updated with wait times as well :)

Every one I interacted with showed amazing compassion for my cat during our time of need. Very knowledgeable and personable. Perfect for what I needed tonight and honestly was cheaper than I thought too for being an emergency. Thank you so much entire staff of salem veterinary emergency clinic

I was on the fence whether or not my puppy's eye would need treatment after being scratched by my cat. After calling the clinic, I was informed that it could be very serious if her cornea was injured. After bringing her in, I am very glad that I brought her to the clinic rather than waiting. It turns out the issue was more severe than I expected, and I'm glad that I was able to start her on a protocol immediately. The staff was courteous, and they deal with much more severe cases than this on a regular basis.

Not a good place. The younger gals seemed like caring and compassionate people. But the vet and the older tech was rude and inconsiderate. Had a bad experience with another vet and these two exuded the same attitude. Having "trust issues" with unknown "care takers" we contacted our regular vet of over 30 years. We were told to transfer to our home vet. Both the vet and the older woman became rude and bothered saying we were leaving against medical advise. We left under proper medical advise. They had two prising points. Vet gave one price and the tech had another that was estimated to be another $1000. Not a very trusting situation. Talking to our regular vet, they were disturbed about this pricing. Just not a good place to leave a close member of the family. Seems more like a kill shelter than a plase to trust with your fur baby.

When I brought a dog in on a limited budget they worked with me to stabilise the dog and relieve his issue within my funds. They didn't cure him within that, but they made him comfortable, relieved the immediate issues and made it so that I could take him to our regular vet. They weren't working for free but they did do everything they could to provide necessary care and as much extra as I could afford. The staff certainly seemed to care to me. I had to wait for quite a while to be seen, as they were dealing with two dogs that had got into a fight with a porcupine. But the staff did take good care of my dog, they started with the things that they thought would be most useful and we left with a plan of action including my regular vet.

My cat has been meowing right after she eats and sometimes during the day like she's in pain could it be kidney failure?

A doctor would need to do an assessment and possibly diagnostic tests in order to have a better idea of what could be going on with your kitty. Kidney issues often show up as urinary problems since the two systems are related. If you are able to, I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian. Take care!

Does this place do spay/neuter? I have not been able to establish a regular vet in the Salem area yet.

This office is more for emergency services I would not try to use them as a regular vet. The vet I use is in Woodburn on Pacific highway.
