Very liberal rude 2 women on 2/26/22 2pm front desk. Worried more about signature and insurance cards from the patient, when the wife was trying the give to them and take care of it. He was a heart patient and bleeding internally... and couldn't stand up. Then followed in the room for the $100 copay, couldn't hold pen to sign another piece of paper or get billfold. Told her her to LEAVE. Only let one person back, which is policy, but when son in law (RN) showed up wife wante

I went in for a fall on my wrist which is swollen and has a hard knot in it. I cannot turn it or lift even a glass of water and they did an X-ray but that’s it…. the doctor didn’t examine it, touch my wrist or even look at it. It was very upsetting for my health to be disregarded like that considering I waited days before going and this is why. The lack of doctors that even care about patients. I will never return here. Just a waste of time. Absolutely awful experience

Horrible experience! First off I have no idea how this place can be called an emergency room! There was nothing emergent about it! My son needed a sonogram and the person who does that was “on call” so it took 1 1/2 hrs for her to get there. When She got there She was extremely rude. Then the nurse gave my son the paperwork with two prescriptions stapled to the back. She had already told him she would electronically send them and never told us otherwise. We wait a couple of hours to go pick up the prescriptions to give the pharmacy time to fill it. I go up there and they have nothing. I call St. Luke’s and the nurse rudely says “It’s because I stapled them to the back”. Ok, so I go back to the pharmacy and drop them off. I quickly get a call saying they can’t fill an pain pill (opioid) unless it is sent electronically. It is a law that started a MONTH ago! I call St. Luke’s and spoke with a Matt who proceeded to tell me that “ tramodol is not an opioid and if CVS says it is they are wrong”!! (Matt is the one that was wrong and he works at ST. LUKES!) Then Dr. Ryan Burch tells us that he cannot send the prescription at all because “it has exceeded 2 hour limit” and it was BECAUSE OF ST. LUKES! He wanted us to come in to get “readmitted and pay another $100 copay for him to write another prescription for my son! UNBELIEVABLE!!! This place is a joke with uneducated, rude employees! Save yourself time and money and go to a real hospital!

If your child has an emergency, please don't go here. You will end up going elsewhere for treatment. The paramedic was so rough with my baby and arrogant. The nurses are truly nice and caring but the paramedic and doctor were super awful. The doctor subjected my child to unnecessary tests obviously they are very money minded. My baby went home without relief and got sicker. I took her to the Children's Mercy ER and they suctioned my baby and did breathing treatments. My baby has been fine since then. I wouldn't recommend this ER to anyone. For them, it's all about the money. Be wary of tho$e extra te$t$ they do on you.

Yes, they do. You can stay 2-3 days there. Short term only, but much cheaper than a regular hospital.
