Individual units here are great, I love the layout and the kitchen is nice for someone like me who enjoys cooking. The amenities are nice as well, the pool in the summer is a fun spot for the community and the little dog park is a good touch. However, the overall property is not kept up well. Despite hiring a security company to randomly patrol the property, more basic and essential security features like garage gates and property gates are often broken for months, allowing homeless people access to show units and our cars in the garage (that we pay for) to be broken into on a weekly basis. Just last night (1/18/22) 3 cars had their windows smashed out. We've requested cameras for the garage to see how people are getting in and what times they tend to break in, but it doesn't look like we will be getting them. All of the stairwells completely lack any lighting and have since I moved in 9 months ago, which is pretty dangerous and I believe violates code. I understand that we live in a city and crime happens, but the community as a whole feels that there are quite a few steps that can and should be taken here to improve our safety and quality of living. If you want to live here, prepare to purchase your own security system for both your car and apartment unit to protect yourself - otherwise look elsewhere for a management company that cares about providing a secure place to live.

Overall great place to live. Location is phenomenal. You’re about 3-5 minutes away from crossroads, plus having an easy access Gillham Rd makes getting anywhere super easy without having to take Main St. As with any apartment, it was some flaws but management listens, which is what is important. We were having car break-ins which is happening in this general area but they teamed up with Metro Public Safety after hearing our complaints. The pool is great, much bigger than other apartments I have lived at and toured. They always have events going on and the community here is chill, young, and fun. Maintenance is quick as well. Because of the younger crowd it can get noisy at times, but within reason. Hallways are wide and elevators and huge which makes moving easy. I don’t regret living here considering the price of rent.

Updated Sep 30 2021 I stand by my original review from last year. Gallerie is one of the best apartment complex in KC. The apartment is still great, maintained very nicely, people are super friendly and the amenities are great. They have frequent resident activities, pool parties, food/food truck and other activities. We just recently renewed the lease for another two years. The only feedback that I would have for Gallerie management is to fix how horribly slow the online lease signing process is - it took me more than 20 minutes to sign 44 pages - I am forced to sign each page that takes 20-30 seconds each to sign and go to the next page. Review from 2020 A great apartment complex. Was looking at it for my daughter. Love the layout of the apartments, the corridors are super wide and very well lit compared to many other apartments we toured. Carlie was super nice to us during the tour and the management was very accommodating to our wishes about the one month credit. Extremely friendly staff and goes out of their way to help you and answer your questions. We really liked the floor plan, how clean the apartment is and very well maintained. I am very pleased with the timely removal of trash. Above all, the building smells great with the deodorizer throughout the building - I know it is a small thing to write about - but something that helps with the upscale look and feel of the place. The amenities like business room, fitness center, swimming pool are really great. You also get the choice to reserve the common area for private parties and get together when needed which is an added bonus. Love how brightly lit the entire building is. The building is off the beaten path but still super close to Union Station, Liberty Memorial and other places.

My daughter and her roommates, who are all medical students at UMKC School of Medicine, are in their third year of living in a 3-bedroom apartment at the Gallerie. Overall, it has been a very positive experience for them. The living environment and amenities meet their needs. The front office staff is very helpful. Back in 2019, it was a long process to sign a lease. However, thanks to Torrie and Kalie, the new mangers at the Gallerie, the new lease process was much faster and simpler. In the past 2 plus years, the staff in the Gallerie office has always kept their promise and their word to take care us regardless of who was in charge. Thank for your professionalism.

Questions & Answers

My daughter is seeking a 1 bedroom or studio apartment that will cost under $1000 per month. Do you have such apartments at that price?

I don't think so. But you should contact Rachel at the Marcato apartments. Those may well be in her price range.

How much is the deposit?

A minimum of $250 depending on your credit and the application process, and no more than a full month’s rent.
