Howarth Park is a child's paradise. Our grandson had his 3rd Birthday party there and there was so much for the kids to do. Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Train Rides and more. The grounds are well kept and thr restrooms are clean. They also have lovely trails for hiking/walking.

Great place to spend the day with kids and you can also have birthday parties here, really great.

Great family park featuring tons of amenities for all ages and interests. A small stocked pond with boat rentals is great for a relaxing day on the water, though there is no shade so be sure to sun block! Can be kinda grimy near boat launch but better on the far side opposite the dam. The rest of this large park is great for kids with the snack bar, huge play area and an awesome mini train tour makes for an unforgettable day at the park.

Beautiful Sunday for a walk around Spring Lake. Lots of people out enjoying the day and the beauty. We are so lucky to have this area in our city. ❤️

Yes there is. Boat house hours are online at Santarosarec.com. I don't know about personal use, contact howarth park for that.
Leonard Howarth, a successful British-born industrialist, comes to Santa Rosa for treatment when stricken by paralysis in the 1930's. He leaves $75,000 at his death to be used for Santa Rosa. In the 1950's Leonard Howarth’s funding was used to create the City’s first “modern playground” next to Burbank School. The sale of this park to the Board of Education and remaining funds left by Leonard Howarth are used to build Howarth Park.
Very pet friendly. A leash and doggie Dooley bags are a necessity. Even if it's a llama, which we have seen in the park, you will need a poopy bag.
The fishing is much better down the trail at spring lake. A world record bass has been caught out of that pond.
The train charges 5 per turn, it is with a ticket that they sell there, there are also horses for children
About a mile. Depends which trail you take or where you start. If you start at the Spring Lake trail head going around the lake and end at Howarth Park it's just under a mile.
Yes there are Rangers there for Howarth Park and Spring Lake there is a ranger station at Spring Lake they are connected
Train starts from 11am-5pm (when it's running)
It's my beliefs that the train is down and the pony rides are suspended train usually runs from like 9am to 4pm
No there is no paid parking although on the weekends it's hard to find a spot. It is public and open to the general
I did not see any sign that said you could not bring your own water craft or device.
Yes, dogs are allowed, but they need to be in their leash at all times, because other people bring dogs as well to the park. Always remember to bring a bag to pick after your dog poop and throw it in to the garbage cans, there are several of them around the trails, please do not let them around because dog poop is hurtful for the environment and even more when it's dry. I hope you enjoy your time in the park. 😁😁😁
There aren't any cabins but you can reserve camping here http://parks.sonomacounty.ca.gov/Visit/Spring-Lake-Regional-Park/
Pony Rides 1-lap ticket: $5 2-lap ticket: $8 Pony Pass (10 1-lap tickets): $45
Not at Howarth Park but Spring Lake does allow camping and is connected to Howarth Park.
I believe the ride was once different, if i recall correctly.
It's free. :) Some attractions cost money.
The lake is small yes you rent paddle boats....
No, but there's a free Tai Chi Class at my church, Presbyterian Church of the Roses, every Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
