Placed an order for a prefab sauna on 11/20 with a delivery date of 4/30. Great. Fast forward 5 months. Get a call from the delivery company informing me that i will either need a forklift or a crew of men to help unload the sauna. They also stated there was damage to the box. I promptly called Finlandia and spoke with Marilyn who said, "that's not true. the delivery company will help you unload the sauna". I called back and spoke with the manager of the delivery company and he said, "Thats not a service we offer and would take several hours". After multiple calls with Finlandia and the delivery company spanning several weeks, my frustration grew and I asked for a refund since they could not deliver my sauna. Marilyn finally said she would refund my money. 1 month later, I received a partial refund. I called to inquire about this partial refund and Marilyn stated she charged a restocking fee. What? You cannot deliver my sauna that I've waited 5 months for and now I have to pay $800? Stay away from this company. On another note, I have a friend who ordered a Finlandia Sauna several months before me and his Sauna does not get over 150 degrees and the company will do nothing to remedy this. $9000 for a sauna thats pretty much useless.

Placed an order and paid for a Sauna door on 12/2/20. Was told that it would be ready for pick up in 4 weeks. 10 weeks went by, still no door and no contact from Finlandia. On 2/8/21 I spoke with Sarah K. in the Finlandia office. She advised she would make sure the door is ready by the end of the week. End of the week, no door, no contact from Finlandia. Fast forward, It’s now 3/4/21 which is 13 weeks after the door was ordered. No door, and no communication from Finlandia regarding when the door will be completed. The only thing they have told me is that my order is low priority.

So far so very good. Out of all the Sauna supply houses in the states that I called, they were the most professional, and prompt to respond to my inquiries. They were honest, and straight forward which is always appreciated.

I have a 4 month old ($6000+) sauna bought directly from Finlandia. The heater thermostat has never worked properly and now the heater control switch is acting up. Talked with Marilyn at Finlandia. Her answers: she wouldn't warranty the thermostat, $89, (She said that the thermostats never go wrong on their own) and said I was operating the control switch wrong. I asked to speak to her boss, and she said she is the boss. Might as well as talked to a wall.

Questions & Answers

Is it ok to put removable superdek under a sauna heater?

Jennifer Travis-Rudin | Aug 18, 2020

It is fine to place SD12 Superdek under one of the wall mounted type heaters. Superdek mat should not be placed under a floor mounted heater, however.

is there a heating element that works on 208v to replace the 240v

Michael Sepulveda | Aug 18, 2020
Finlandia Sauna Products Inc | Aug 18, 2020

Heating elements are voltage specific. If you have a 240v heater you would replace it with 240v elements. If you have a 208v heater it should be replaced with 208v elements. If the incorrect voltage or phase heater is ordered for your project it would have to be rewired or sent back. Make sure to check your power supply first before purchasing a heater and verify your heater model before ordering any parts. Please call us if you need any help.

i need to replace 1 3loop element in my heater diy???

Hi. We have a few elements that have 3 loops. It could be the 3kw or the 4.5kw heater. Check the model on the metal id plate near the bottom of the heater. Elements can be replaced by a do it yourself type person or contact an electrician. Call or email us with more information about your heater and we can email instructions. Thank you.
