The kindest and most helpful people here getting me through incredibly difficult circumstances! Thanks for your understanding! GONG. They changed- Completely- They don't always arrive on the posted date and you don't know what time- This time they showed up while my friend was working on arrangements for housing- I told them she was on her way and begged them to leave her stuff alone but they not only decided what was garbage but they laughed at her for the smell from her pets meanwhile her building is being sued for roach infestation and she's working hard to overcome huge challenges and this time these people had no heart or soul-

On their website it states you can retrieve the belongings they had "placed into storage" as long it is within 30 days. Well that's not true as they do not put it into storage as when I called they had no recording of any of my things! I called about 9 or 10 days after the removal also! They had also called the police on my husband who was trying to help bag up things and remove it also. Never once though asking him to stop or to leave.

We use Rapid Response for medical waste (sharps). They have always been quick and professional. No complaints, at all. I like the fact that they are local and a human answers the phone on the first ring. No pesky "phone tree." A+++

THANK YOU Rapid Response Bio-Clean for sanitizing our sidewalks and streets throughout our beautiful city of Portland. I recently returned home to the PNW after having lived in San Diego where an outbreak of the Hepatitis A virus resulted in 590 cases and 20 deaths due to unsanitary outdoor living conditions from homelessness (ie, human excrement & urine, used syringes & needles, etc.). Thank you for taking care of our communityβs well-being π

PPS, if your belongings were taken it has had a posting for more than 2 days. On the green posting there is a phone number with city of Portland instructions to make an appointment to get your processed property back.
If the County declares a weather emergency then there is supposed to be no sweeping of camps. Clackamas County guidelines and Multnomah County guidelines differ. Generally, if the temperatures are below 32 degrees at night (taking into account wind chill), then it is an emergency in Clackamas County. Multnomah County has the following guidelines: Temperatures are forecast at 25 degrees or below Forecasters predict an inch or more of snow Overnight temperatures drop below 32 degrees, with an inch of driving rain. Other conditions occur as needed, including severe wind chills or extreme temperature fluctuations Clackamas has many more emergency days in a given year than Multnomah.
Possessions are held for 30 days unless it is declared a "hazard" by Rapid Response (such as, it has mold on it). If your possessions are taken by RR, they might ask for evidence, such as a photo, to make sure it is yours. You can call Rapid Response to obtain your possessions back. If they can't help you, then call the Clackamas Service Center and ask for Tiffany Grigg, and she will help you.
