Dr. Bengtzen is very thorough, and happy to answer all of my questions. He is professional and knowledgeable, while being approachable. The assistants are great too. They are methodical, and efficient, while also being happy to explain aspects of their testing and data gathering. Front office staff are cheerful and efficient as well. I highly recommend Eye Heath Northwest!

I've been a patient of Dr. Holland's for about 25 years. I've never had a negative experience. I usually go to the NE Stark St location. Happy Valley is closer to my home so I scheduled my most recent visit there. Sadly, I do have to agree with some previous posts regarding the front office staff. The couple of times that I have been at this location ( taken my daughter also) the employee who either did the check-in or check-out ( check-out for my 2/14/22 visit) was very unfriendly. It felt as if I was bothering her.

This place is an absolute joke. My wife and I wanted to try a local Eye care place as we both wear contacts and go in annually for check ups. My wife went here and was given a prescription 3 times her normal from +1.75 to +4. We thought it was odd and we were honestly alarmed after only a year since her last prescription. She tried it for a few days but thought it was off so went back to her old prescription contacts. After the 10 days she went back in and they checked again and told her the original prescription was correct and went back to the +1.75. She bought an annual supply of those contacts (thank god we didn’t agree to the original prescription and buy a year of that). There is a rebate of $150 and we have good insurance to cover some of the bill. After months of trying to get the bill or rebate we are now told that due to shortage of their staff we are out of time to get the rebate. Needless to say we will not be returning and have nothing but bad things to say here.

Brokeback Boyz

Had an appointment for 6/21/21, was told that I wasn’t gonna get my eyes dilated. However she did so without fair warning. She he me put the contacts I had in previously which made my visioned very impaired resulting in giving me a headache and irritation to my sensitive eyes. After ordering new contacts the lady at the desk gave me a receipt with the wrong address. Addressing her that they have made a mistake she shook her head at me. Very unprofessional. Luckily I brought my glasses so I could drive decently. I’ve been going here for the past 10 years and after this experience will not be returning. The staff don’t know what they’re doing.
