This is a great park, but I have a few gripes with some things, especially as a beginner. The layout and features are great. There's artificial turf in a few places, which is an awesome idea in terms of making "safe spaces," for lack of better wording. However, I feel as though it's not the best for beginners; there's no real practice rails or ledges. The only suitable ledges and rails for practicing are part of bigger obstacles that people will be skating. With that said, there is a shallow bowl that is easier to drop in on, as well as a "real" bowl. The people here are really really nice. They're accepting of beginners, including those of different disciplines (even the ones that are banned!). However, they also sit on and around obstacles and even leave their belongings on them (including smartphones?). I haven't had an issue with asking them to move, though. Another problem I have, even though it doesn't affect me, is that only skateboards and roller/inline skates are allowed. Scooters and bicycles are explicitly banned. People bring them anyway of course, but I can't support banning any discipline regardless. I believe the issue with the latter is that they damage the park badly, but I think issues like that can be alleviated with things such as plastic pegs. Riders of those disciplines have been some of the nicest to me; I'm going to try and make a request to the city to allow them.

My 6 year is learning to skateboard, her confidence is being built all while having fun. It's just her out there having the best time forgetting about her medical condition.!

Amazing skatepark. Tons of fun stuff to skate for all levels, well maintained, stoked to go back. Long 4 step, easy 5, and challenging 7 stair with a hubba and rail. Lots of ledges, a euro gap, and 2 bowls. Would recommend going during the day before it gets slammed in the evening if you can!

I've seen kids as young as 6 or 7 yrs old.
If you're any good and don't get in anyone's way, you're fine. If you're not any good come when it's not busy.

No. People are jumping the fence.
Mostly there are some fish, in the lake. I would put my money on bass.
No but if you stay out of the way you’re fine
Not officially, but I do see a lot. If you do come, just make sure you are not in the way.
The signs say you do, but no one wears one.
If with the permission of the city when one rents some of the houses for the holidays.
