It's an awesome spot that is free but not as highly maintained as pay camping. That being said there's a lot to do if you want fun, fishing, fat meat, swimming, sight seeing, hanging way out, semi private activity, and whatever you want. There's a decent vault toilet. The sites are smaller and only a few large enough for RV and trailer combination approaching 60 feet. This area has no cell service.

Wow! Talk about camping in the wilderness! Just had a great time here, and you couldn't find a better spot to give you the feeling that you truly are in Montana. I'm sure there are plenty of great "Montana" campgrounds, but this has to be right next to the best. The Blackfoot River slowly drifts by and it's possible to walk alongside it. The cool breeze off the river made the nights feel so cozy. It's not a fancy, modernized campsite, but is that really what you want out in the wild mountain country of Montana? Can't wait to come back!

I've been going here for the past three years during summer and is my favorite campsite so far. My family and I love rock hounding so it's the perfect place to go and look for jasper and agot in the water.

Great camp spots with picnic tables and fire pit. There are spots right on the river, but you have to have a tent or small camper. We have a 30ft and found a spot with plenty of space for us and our friends 27ft camper.

Yes. No fee no reservations
It never really does. Inaccessible at times in the snow and I have seen it underwater.
