Great atmosphere really laid back right minded people who are there for the music and to have a great time without any drama the entire staff of the Observatory are very friendly excellent service. The entire venue is easy to navigate around between the bar and to going out to smoke a cigarette between sets, over-all I had a great time there the sound is amazing really great venue for any type of genre of live music. I'm looking forward to the next time that I'm there for another concert and one last thing the lighting on stage during sets strobes are great I enjoyed the stage lighting the performances. Highly recommend this venue to anyone that wants to go see a concert.

The Observatory North Park is an amazing open floor venue. While it is rather large, most shows feel very intimate. They have a great staff and a several bars available. There’s a great parking garage across the street (your ticket purchase includes parking). While there are many open floor venues in San Diego, I continue returning to the Observatory. Give it a chance if you see a show you’d like to attend, you won’t be disappointed.

Had a fantastic time! I'm amazed by the sound design of this venue as well - one of the only ones I've been to where I didn't feel like the drums or bass would destroy my eardrums. There's plenty of space for moshing too, if that's your thing. 🤘🏼

Whenever I pay in cash at the box office, $3 per ticket. With card it's $5. The online fees vary, but I think they are always more.
Not sure but it's a small place and there not a bad seat .
They require your vaccination card. My husband didn't bring his so they had him scan a QR code to get access to his vaccination record. It was quick and easy. They also offered him an on-the-spot Covid test for $30 if he wasn't vaccinated. The people working there are super nice about it too. Go to the Observatory website for more info.
Yes if it a all ages show
Prob all we used paper others phone s
Call the box office, I believed they call at 6pm during weekdays
within the place only people with authorization
I believe you need an adult guardian as they have an actibe bar INSIDE THE VENUE but call
Try to get there by 6-6:30
Yes! Most shows are all ages. Typically those under 18 must have someone 21+. When you go to buy tickets it will say if it is a 21+ show.
It depends on the event your going to. I'd look online to see what it comes with.
Yes
Sometimes the website has resale tickets available.
The last show myself and my family caught released at 11pm and that was on a Tuesday. Probably would depend on the show but I'd agree with the other that's it's about 10pm-11pm release time. As for re-entry, there was a restroom inside and a spot to order food and drinks so we never had to leave. I'm sure if you had your ticket or wristband with you, you could be allowed back in. However, check first before you do attend the show.
No
Check out our calendar here: http://www.observatorysd.com/calendar/
It depends on the event but 98% of of our shows are "standing room only".
Yes, you can get to the floor on wheelchairs or you can get a view that is above the crowd so you get a nice view from the stage.
I believe this venue WILL ALLOW DANCING .It"s ALL general admission so the floor ,in front of the stage, if not occupied by LOOKERS, can be a GREAT DANCE FLOOR!
No line, but you need to be early if you want to be close to the stage
You should contact the box office
They were selling them
Not as of this afternoon
Yes you have to print it or yes you can have it scanned from your phone?
The theatre will accommodate 1,100 in it's newly designed, tiered open-floor configuration and can also be scaled down to a seated configuration of 550 comfortable seats.
I don't think so.... They have metal detectors, plus the venue is very safe they have plenty of areas to be safe
It says on the website that if you are accompanied by someone 25 or older, "by a parent, gaurdian, or responsible adult," you're good.
The seating is located in the back, close to the bar. There really are no bad seats in the House as this was an old fashioned movie theater and the floor slowly Rises away from the stage. They reserved quite a big area for those with wheelchairs, Etc.
Yes. Online
If the concert page says any age then you shouldn't have a problem. It depends on the band I believe, not the hall itself. Hope that makes sense and helps.
I saw Snoop Dogg and Warren G there a few months ago and all the sound levels were perfect. I think it depends on who is working the board.
Not sure... You should call the box office and ask.
Cindy, this is a place to ask questions about The Observatory, not to ask questions of The Observatory. I recommend checking in with them on their FB page or the contact information you can find here kn Google.
Well. I believe that the internet searches observatory. Concert and you will leave where it is univercity av
Go on the website
They have a patio you can smoke on
Show up to box office very polite
The main goal of an ID is to prove your identity and in this case your age, perhaps they wouldn't mind if it's expired
Normally from 11 to 5, i suggest you to call or visit their website because sometimes they change hours id there is a show
Yes..
1100 people when standing 500 with seats
Looks like only available are resale tickets from about $130 to $230

On Thursdays, a farmer's market runs adjacent to the venue. Ate fresh fruit while waiting in line to get in!
