The main goal of an ID is to prove your identity and in this case your age, perhaps they wouldn't mind if it's expired
If your license is expired no one is going to let you into a bar. But I believe the venue will allow you in you just can't go in the bar area.
Hey man I had the same problem but I got lucky. My advice is to play it cool and if that doesn't work, ask to speak to a manager and try to verify your age by other means. Try and bring a birth certificate or passport if possible.
You should get a new id. You id isn't valid. An original unlaminated birth certificate will suffice.
They still let you in. You just cant buy alcohol
Some shoes are all ages, just can't drink.
Go to dmv get a new id use the temp paper and expired id as proof.
Use any other identification with picture and your birthdate on it.
Go to DMV and get it renewed
