This used to be my go-to place for freshwater fish and plants. Most of the staff are friendly and extremely but unfortunately there is a large blonde girl working there now, who has a very nasty attitude and doesn't give advice so much as she snobbily tries to tell you what you are doing is wrong, without even letting you finish a sentence. She had an extremely condescending tone and was just overall unpleasant to deal with. Just a major bummer. I cant send anybody here anymore without going myself because they're new to the hobby and that girl would easily scare anybody out of it. I really wish she would be nice, or even just accurate. She especially needs to read up on her axolotls. Everyone else is wonderful and knowledgeable.

Great staff, beautiful plants and fish! The prices are very affordable and the fish seem very well taken care of, would definitely recommend Cayes Aquarium and plan on coming back for any aquarium needs.

Lots to choose from and great prices. Everyone I talked with on the phone or that helped me when I got there was super polite and very knowledgeable. The girl that helped me even told me what to do if I got stuck in a traffic jam on my way back to Salem with my new baby pirhannahs to keep them alive. I did and it worked and we all made it home safe and sound! Such great service! I wish more places really cared about their customers and pets like these people do. Excellent service at Caye's. They'll take care of you:D

They were very helpful on my first visit. After scouring the pet store franchises and my local mom and pop pet store it is obvious these folks are head and shoulders above the rest. Also their prices were better. In some cases, way better. I needed some tank mates, driftwood and a live plant for my betta rescue and they set me up very well. I will definitely be returning for more live plants and fish in the near future. Definitely a 5 star establishment.

We no longer , sell saltwater fish , all Freshwater now
We have Freshwater Blue Shrimp , Jade Green Shrimp and Cherry Red Shrimp , no Mantis Shrimp as they saltwater and we no konger carry
Have a few left , but not a lot , may place another order for following Monday
We do carry koi , just don't have any at the moment due to season , usually bring in around April
You really should call first before going anywhere else. They're the best hands down.

You'll have to call them. They're great folks. I use to work at the warehouse that supplied the stores from 162 & Division to Oak Grove to Milwaukie. If they don't have it they might get it?
By far the best place in the Portland metro for all your aquatic pet needs. These folks know their stuff.
Guppies vary. The ones that Come w/local wholesale are pretty basic but you can find some nicer 1's. Haven't seen any really fancy tales in awhile. You should stop by and introduce yourself. Maybe leave a 3x5 index card w/your info & what you want. They use to have a local breeder w/some NICE fish. They use to take them in on trade. I use to keep guppies, platies & swords together since they're all live bearers. I got some x breed 1's that were AWESOME but it took time. They're awesome folks, go meet them. I use to go in & scrape hard water deposit off the tanks w/a razor blade. I use to help customers when they would get real busy and I was there. I catch and bag my own fish so I can take time to look. I wouldn't recommend this stuff be done, I've known them for years. I use to live right up the road from Shane.
