Please recognize Mary Murphy for her wonderful customer service and our personal thanks. We were initially charged over $900 for a room. Mary took care of us and brought it down to $546!! My Uncle Dale & Aunt Barbara went there all the time to celebrate special events. This is where we chose to celebrate their live & have our family reunion. Your hotel has been, and is, a family favorite, it is the best! And Mary Murphy is a wonderful ambassador for your staff. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel. The lounge is great. Parking is nearby and convenient. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The service leaves something to be desired. My room had 2 conditioners instead of a shampoo and conditioner. That is an understandable mistake. I called and asked for a shampoo to be dropped off to the room. I found another conditioner when I got back. It was too late in the night to do anything about it so I just left it alone. I also asked for a shower cap that never arrived and a toothpaste that only reached me after my second attempt. None of all this was bad enough to ruin my experience. But I did feel disappointed with the service.

This hotel is beautiful and I loved all the history. Unfortunately the staffing shortage has hit them hard. The room was clean and spacious but we had no cleaning service the 4 nights we were there so our trash built up and we were daily having to call for things, including coffee, and creamers, towels, water, and shower gell. The shower gel bottle was empty when we checked in and that was your only bathing soap option. We were in a suite with a sofa bed which we used for our nephew but had to request pillows. To there credit everything we asked for was brought except on the last day. We called twice for coffee, creamers and waters and never received these items. We let them know when we checked out and they gave us a discount on that day. I think we should have gotten a discount for each day given the lack of service to our room. We used the Palm Grill for a meal in there private room and the service and foid were both amazing.

The room was not that great and definitely not for the price. Linens were very thin and not soft and pillows were flat. There was no guidance provided on next am breakfast. It was Mother’s Day and we were told wrong information about the breakfast voucher and ended up with no breakfast. Walls and curtains were dingy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. Not enough towels and paper supplies for 4 people staying in the room. We requested extra pillows and received 1 more flat pillow. Very disappointing and compared to the other two Davenport properties, this one has gone downhill for the rooms quality. and decor.

But you're missing out if you don't visit the Palm Court Grill, or partake in the Sunday Brunch.
I know that Walt Worthy the owner is very community oriented, and that there is usually a piano player in the main lobby. I would be very surprised if the Davenport doesn't offer a venue for musical events geared towards charity and giving back. Mr. Worthy is well known for his civic pride. Best of luck in your endevors.

Not right now. Your choices are a taxi or Uber/Lyft.
Because of the mask mandate it is preferred to use a mask even if fully vaccinated, however recently it looks that you are able to make that choice. The bar and restaurant are open, making the option to not wear a mask
Yes, it is on for 2021

You can go to the Davenport's web site and check for availability.
I agree with Carol, we have done the gift card route. It isn't cheap though.
$22 for self parking at the parking garage structure across the street. Valet is available. I don't remember how much. Bell/parking people very friendly.
Hello, You can make online purchases via our Davenport Home website! https://davenporthome.myshopify.com/products/3oz-soft-peanut-brittle Thank you,
I stayed there numerous times but I don't play the piano so I've never asked but they are very accommodating if you're a guest there
No, it is extra. However, they have a pretty good sized multilevel garage just across the street.
You can often times park at the Ruby Inn right next to the Tower for $5. Also, it isn't far to the Riverfront Parking garage...just a couple of blocks.
There is valet parking at the front door, or a parking garage across the street for guests

It was designed then built by architect Kirtland Cutter in 1914. Louis Davenport was the original proprietor and oversaw the project. Cutter built it.
