We, love living here it is a beautiful place to be located, as well as the leasing office they make business run so smoothly. Nice, residents as well very friendly and the maintenance team is very helpful.

This place was a bit disappointing. The walls need work, they look dingy and unkempt. EVERYTHING needs to be painted. Bathrooms were cramped. Carpeting (who still has carpeting anymore? Is it 1986?) The balconies look like people are using them as storage units. The whole place needs to be closed and updated. ESPECIALLY for what they are charging. They have no concept of luxury living or what the competition in the market is. Check out The Astoria down the street. Similar prices... but actual understanding of style and luxury, this place looks like the projects.

Harrison Tower is a mostly quiet community ( occasional dog-barking aside). Luckily the concrete walls block most of the other sounds. The leasing office helped with the few issues that needed fixing at the beginning of move-in. The 2-Mikes maintenance crew were a blast to talk to and super-helpful with helping me in my new home. I am just getting started with exploring and learning about the city. Off to a good start and an exciting new beginning!

Harrison Towers is the first home I’ve had in almost twenty years. Since my childhood home in the country, my family has moved over thirteen times in Oregon alone. Of course, I then moved through several college residences in Corvallis, and when I began dating my now husband, who was then active duty military, we split time between Oregon and Washington DC. For veterinary school, I moved, without him to Dublin, Ireland. This tedious timeline will serve to reflect Harrison Towers’ reputation briefly; but right now, special attention must be payed to their introduction in our nomadic-like lives. Over one winter break, I was home from vet school; jet-lagged, chilled to the bone, yet, thoroughly burnt-out. What was now the fifth month of a pan-oceanic sunless sky, keeping the snow for itself seemed to taunt the warmth we craved after final exams, and a decade-long career which began in the barracks and ended on a Southwest Portland sidewalk. He was living with his brother and we were searching for a place; mostly for proximity to his first civilian job, but also for facilities that had generous visiting hours — I was, after all returning to Ireland in a couple of weeks, and despite a four-year relationship and an engagement to marry, I would stay a visitor until graduation would make me an American resident again. Lisa greeted us at the front desk and offered candy from the large, communal jar (I still linger there for this reason). I remember the fresh smell of the facilities and the warmth in her smile as I hoarded a second ‘Milky Way’. She lead us up to the crisp, clean lobby, where all of the mail lockers are located to the elevators which took us to two separate apartments — the second one overlooked the Willamette River, giving us a view of the TIlikum bridge and a a very red OMSI sign to our right, the Morison Bridge to our left, and Mt. Hood at our dead-center. “Wait until the sky opens up; sunrises over the mountain are beautiful”, Lisa declared. I didn’t need to wait for Spring to believe that. As we inched near the rail of the balcony, taking in the city, I sighed and my then finance smiled because he knew this couldn’t be beat. Because in spite of the empty room catching an echo, sans furniture, clothes, dishes or decor, and even the sun, we were finally home. “I think we’re going to be putting our name on this one”, he said; and then it began to snow. Over the course of a year and a half, I was greeted from every return from college with a familiar smiles from the staff, sincere conversation about my course, and a Milky Way bar. As time went on questions turned to our wedding planing progress, and we came to Lisa, Nichole and Jillian with a request. We were to host a rehearsal dinner, but nowhere in Portland was affordable or accessible for our large party. We asked if we could have our dinner by the pool in the courtyard — They gave us permission to do so and EVERY guest we had was impressed with the facilities. There was room for our catered Pizza and beer, and relaxed fun for over eighty people to party until 10:00 pm. Two years and two cats after our first tour, we are happy newly weds. Just prior to our big day, we were considering beginning a house-buying process, but shorty arrived at the conclusion that there was just no place like Harrison Tower for both of our jobs, with the streetcar at our front porch, impromptu food cart dates yards to the West, and near-immediate access to waterfront jogging paths, wine bars and yummy restaurants. So we made a big move... two floors up at Harrison Towers. The staff made it easier than I thought possible; reserving the freight elevator for us and giving us plenty of time. We are thrilled to include their complimentary accent wall paint within the next week. As my strange, lovable cat gazes out our new view of the West Hills and tracks birds darting across our balcony, I am taking a larger-than-life breath of relief in our yet-again furniture-less, box-filled, sprawling carpet of home, sweet home.
