Nathan is a genius at what he does! Designs are original and customized taking the customers preferences into account. Not only that, but Nathan worked with me financially and put me up in one of his houses when the pandemic hit so I could continue to fund the build of my house. Nathan is an expert at codes, and tweaks designs to meet code while also keeping the build affordable, a true problem solver. With that said, a tiny house is not made like a regular house, and needs to be kept in consideration when doing future repairs and maintenance in order to stay meeting code, and Nathan is great at consulting repairs as they come up. This business stands behind what they do, even while struggling through a pandemic

Nathan is nothing but a con artist. I know of two parties who paid him over $100,000 and who do not have a tiny house to show for it. His biggest scam is to tell people that the unit will be legal and permittable and later they find out they cannot get permits for the unit. Two of these units have been sitting out in front of his building for up to four years. One client paid Nathan $120,000 and received nothing in return. My own tiny house had to have over $5000 in repairs after Nathan installed the wrong parts or uncorrected installed systems. My toilet, hot water heater and shower have all had to be replaced due to his his shoddy work. Honestly, how is this guy still in business???

I started my build with TSH in April of 2017, after much research. As of September 27th, 2021, I still don’t have a house. I’ve been put off, given ridiculous excuses and ignored completely. Even trying to get my shell delivered has proven to be a nightmare. Nathan made it seem like progress was moving along , I’ve paid him nearly the entire cost of the build plus he had me purchase my appliances 4 years ago, because he lied and claimed things were “moving right along, so you want to get those purchased” I also purchased items that were supposed to be included in the building costs, in order to help move things along. I gave him the benefit of the doubt a few times, until a pattern of untruths developed. There were changes made to the plans w/out my permission, but I wasn’t told about them until AFTER, the change was made. He didn’t have the experience with building codes in my area like he claimed. Whenever, IF ever my house or at least the shell arrives, I will have an aged new home that has been left sitting in the elements, new old appliances that are old enough at this point that not only with the not have their original warranties, but I highly doubt a third party insurer will cover them. Probably the most heartbreaking part, the part that makes me the most angry, is that my best friend, the one that deserves to live out his senior years in the home I planned for him and I and my retirement, my dog, will probably never get to live in the house And trust me, there is NO shame on the part of Tiny Smart House. So BEWARE when considering them.

Not a customer but rather one of the employees of a sub-contractor Tiny SMART House used to finish the interiors. It's been awhile, probably over 2 years now. But after reading some of the reviews I need to add to the information on this company. Apparently my company wasn't the only one. We were hired to finish one of the Tiny Homes and never received the final payment for materials and labor. We assumed something was wrong with the work so we called and asked. The home had been delivered to the buyer in Newport. Received confirmation that the job was complete but never received any payment. They responded a couple weeks at a time until the Lien Deadlines expired. After that no response. Both customers and contractors should know that people seem to be getting stiffed on payments and products. Turning over the paperwork to a collection agency didn't achieve any results. They simply don't answer the phone or emails. The workers to this day, still haven't seen their paychecks for that job.
