Moving to The Boathouse was the best decision we could’ve made. The amenities are nice but the neighborhood is amazing. It’s so quiet and peaceful. Nothing beats being able to walk outside and have a nice trail by the waterfront. So far our experience with management and maintenance has been great. They take time to respond but it’s not an unreasonable amount of time. The maintenance crew is really nice and kind and do a great job.

Mariah has been a great manager at Boathouse. She is quick to respond to our emails, and we've seen her do things the older managers never did. She stayed late one night to help jump my car instead of me having to call someone out for help. She hand delivers package if the locker is full, or if it's too big for the lockers, and we've also seen her help a resident with their groceries. Weve seen her hand scrubbing the lobby or vacuuming if the cleaning people cancel. Just the other day she was outside shoveling snow for three hours. We saw a resident yelling at her while she was picking up the snow and we couldn't believe someone would treat the staff like that. These people are struggling just as much as everyone else during COVID, so we knew we had to leave a review and let others know that we love boathouse. Both Mariah and Kody (the maintenance guy) are great, and we will be renewing.

I have had almost 3 solid years at Boathouse, and I now realize that I was just lucky to have good neighbors upstairs and next door. In the last few months new neighbors have moved in on all sides who are much louder than the previous tenants. Apparently, the walls and floors are paper thin with absolutely no insulation against noise. There are tenants in this building who think slamming doors, drawers, and cabinets, moving furniture at all hours, letting pets run laps around the unit are all just part of apartment life, and there's not much a dissatisfied resident can do but move. Also, there have been multiple break-ins, either due to the poor construction of the building or the recklessness of certain tenants who are leaving doors propped open. Parking is $160/month, but the garage door breaks about 1x/month. The walls and the steps in the stairwells are falling apart. The recycling bins on my floor are almost always overflowing. My kitchen cabinets scrape against the ceiling when I open them. I have windows that I can't clean, because the rails they slide on are not parallel. The building next door has been under construction for at least a year, and I hear their equipment all day during the week. Their garbage gets picked up around 4 am and landscaping happens early mornings. I've been rolling with this stuff, but I can't handle all of the Boathouse building issues, issues with the building next door, and now the noisy neighbors. I did stay here for nearly 3 years, so I do think it is possible to be happy, but don't bet on it if you aren't on the top floor, management can't find a better way to screen future tenants, or the complex isn't demo'd and rebuilt with proper consideration for the occupants.

I can’t say enough good things about The Boathouse - both the staff and the apartment itself. The apartments are well designed, with new finishes that make it feel like more than just an apartment. The building has a great access control design, which helps you feel safe. The building also has kayaks and paddle boards that you can sign out, walk 50 ft, and launch in the Willamette! Also, the building has a dog wash with a grooming area and a climate-controlled wine cellar room, which both proved to be an awesome amenities that aren’t commonly found. The staff is amazing. Cassandra has put together the nicest and most helpful team. I literally threw my phone in the dumpster on accident one morning and one of the maintenance employees jumped right in to retrieve it for me, before she was even technically “at work”! The point is, you feel cared about at The Boathouse. Most apartments make it hard for you to want to sign. The Boathouse (and staff) make it hard for you to want to leave.
