They got rid of virus and sped my computer up.

The person who talked to me on the phone was very helpful and I was able to make an appointment in an efficient manner.

They wouldn't provide the service I scheduled. I set up an appointment nearly a week ahead of time and detailed precisely what I wanted done. Automatic e-mails were sent to me confirming the appointment, etc. When I arrived the lady at the counter refused to service my computer. Least they could have done was read my issue online before I arrived so I wouldn't have to waste an hour driving back and forth. This issue is only compounded by the fact that the Best Buy in Clackamas did the exact same service for me back in January. What a waste of time... Save yourselves, go to a different Geek Squad.

I took my sound bar to repair they gave me an estimated repair date which was 10/10/2018 today is 10/13/2018 and nobody sent me any notification I try to track the order says the number is not correct I called geek squad told me that I do not have any sound bar under repair I went to the store and the "geek squad manager" who seems to not know what he's doing there told me he had no idea when they were going to repair the sound bar and not there was nothing he could do ... if he could give them a rating 0 he would

It's not part of the usual Geek Squad wheelhouse. If you bought it at Best Buy it couldn't hurt to call your local store, especially since the monitor might be under a warranty of some kind.
Yes they can. They may be able to remove the old password or reinstall XP. Try to find the Dell recovery disk with XP on it in case they need to reinstall the operating system. With a laptop that old, keep in mind that there could be other issues that may arise if they run a diagnostic scan, such as hard drrive or other hardware related failures. Sometimes, hard drives will still operate even at the beginning stages of failure or when parts of the drive (sectors) are failing. It might be cheaper to purchase an entry level laptop if they happen to discover hardware issues. Also, Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft as far as updates are concerned and I would not install any other version on that computer since the hardware might not support it as well.
