We had a great experience at Peace Health Birth Center. My doctor was out of town when I went in to labor and Midwife, Kate Fields ended up delivering our daughter last year. I don't know why it took me so long to write this review, but I have been telling everyone how wonderful they are at Peace Health. The Nurses, Tierza (Spelling) Debbie, Sandy, and some of the night girls were the best. One girl even made me a pot of coffee at 3AM because I waited months to drink coffee and was craving it after giving birth to my daughter. I couldn't sleep and she offered to make me a fresh pot to myself. The breastfeeding girls were very supportive and kind as well. I cant remember all of the names as those days were a blur, but i remember them hearing me, understanding me and helping me! The kitchen staff continued to bring more food and drink than we asked for to have on hand as each room has a fridge. We stayed for a total of 5 days from induction to discharge. I love that the birth center is all one story and from the day you go in to the day you leave you are in one room. There is no way i would have been able to transfer all of my belongings to another room after i delivered my daughter. We got to shower daily and have the room to ourselves the entire time. We came back days later to deliver gifts as we only bought two but ended up needed 4-5 because that many of the nurses there were unbelievable. Labor can be scary and stressful but the experience I had, even with the struggles, was the BEST. I was calm and relaxed almost the entire time. It couldn't have been better. If you are on the fence, do your research. I also attended the online classes prior to birth and the information they give you is priceless.

All the nurses, Anesthesiologists, physicians, doctors, EVERYONE was absolutely wonderful and so helpful and kind. The Nurses Didi, Emilie, Solomon, Nia, and Amber were all awesome, kind and supportive. The physicians Abhold, Kotlyar, and Benedict were so very kind as well, awesome and easygoing. And Doctor McBrinn who is an Anesthesiologist was relaxing and very cool. Everyone was very nice, I can't really explain how amazing everyone was and it was just super duper amazing. They made the birth of my son magical with the laidback, and easygoing environment. The bathtubs are awesome and the water is hot, if you want some relief from contractions or just to relax . If you have a support person with you, the room service is especially helpful if they get hungry so they don't have to leave to go food. I really just loved the place. I Strongly recommend this place if you want a more relaxing birth.

I am forever grateful to the team at the Birth Center & the NICU for keeping me and my baby safe and healthy, even during my rapid pre-term labor. The level of care and kindness we received from our nurses, doctors, and staff members exceeded our expectations. My husband became a diaper changing & swaddling pro thanks to our nurses, while I received a lot of support for my postpartum healing. When our baby struggled with weight gain, she was given donors breastmilk through the hospitals program, and we received extra help from the lactation nurses to learn how to pump/feed using syringes and bottles. I honestly think I would’ve given up on breastfeeding if it hadn’t been for the education, support, and postpartum appointments from their lactation specialists. The NICU & the nurses there are also second to none. Even though it was a scary time for us as new parents, we were able to go home & rest in the evenings knowing that our daughter was being cared for by the worlds most qualified caregivers. I am SO GLAD we decided on PeaceHealth (we live 10mins away from Legacy in Salmon Creek but decided to pass after reading their reviews). My husband and I want to have all of our future babies here :)

I can’t speak highly enough about this birthing center. We had our son there 7 weeks ago and me and my husband still talk about how much we loved the staff. Apologies for not being able to name all of you, but McKenna, Suzanne and Sarah (who was with us when my son was born) were all so lovely and their care was so wonderful. There were many other wonderful staff that cared for us during our two day stay. A special thanks to Sarah and our midwife Irene for being so wonderful during our son’s birth. Our birth plan was honored by all the staff and their care for us will always be remembered. A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts (me, my husband and my son). We highly recommend this facility.
