The thing I like best about this pharmacy is the people who work there. The pharmacist and pharmacist techs are really understanding and they have always tried to help me. I started taking some anxiety medication and there was a ton of confusion about dosage and frequency of medication and they worked their butts off to help me resolve it. I'm truly grateful. The line can be a bit long at times but I feel it's worth the wait. But the rest of the store is kinda garbage.

I moved to Vancouver with my family, transferred my prescriptions to this pharmacy. I told them I had three and one needed a refill request sent to my doctor. I waited three days, then called. They had two ready, no record of the third (the one needing the refill request sent). I asked for them to call my doctor to request a refill on the third AGAIN and signed up for text messages. I waited a day... nothing. I called and they said they put in the request. I waited another day, now down to one pill and it was Friday, and called Safeway again. The person on the phone said there was no record of the request being sent in! I was furious, asked to speak with the pharmacist, the pharmacist (Asian woman) was curt and unapologetic. I told her I would run out over the weekend, so she said she would call my doctor AGAIN as soon as we hung up. I called my doctor afterward and THEY SAID NO ONE EVER CALLED. I had them rush the refill, but I still went two days with no pills. Because they are really close to us, my husband gave them a shot after my troubles (thinking it was a one-off) and tried to get his heart meds transferred. SAME THING!!! They are either complete liars or completely inept. My husband would have ran out of heart meds for three days if he relied on them (but he has a stash just in case). DO NOT GO HERE IF YOUR MEDS ARE IMPORTANT.

I just have to say, this pharmacy never has any dull moments. Every time I come in, EVERY TIME, there is some kind of trashy person trying to fill their prescriptions and giving the staff hell. These people are never nice! I feel so sorry for the staff. I am sorry, person, but your prescription is expired and your provider isn't returning their call. What do you expect them to do? Yes, it is vexing to wait in line behind these dramatic customers, but I have accepted that this is how it is and to be thankful I don't have to work for people like this. Staff is always fantastic to me and apologetic for the crazies that come in. I only come here because it is right next to my home. I did give 4 stars because the wait in the line is long. But everything else is fine: fill time, app, reminders, it all works. Also, the ethnic (it think) Filipino lady is sweet and reminds me of my mom.

I only picked this pharmacy due it’s location. However, after every single time I’ve been to pick up or drop off a prescription it has been a complete and total nightmare. The day before (5/30/18) I had foot surgery I stood behind one customer in line that they attempted to assist and it turned into a train wreck they wouldn’t let her leave, even though she insisted she could wait and come back later. I stood there for nearly 30 minutes until they finally had her STEP ASIDE AND WAIT LONGER. Today (post foot surgery less than a week in a GREAT deal of pain getting medication to assist that) it happened again (different woman) they made it so difficult for me, I couldn’t stand they put everything, including my drivers license in the middle of the counter where I couldn’t reach from the necessary seated position I held and AFTER having signed for my prescription I reached for my bag and the pharmacist literally held it out and yanked it back causing me to nearly fall out of the motor chair, and this after I told her I already know how to take it and what the side affects are ITS A REFILL and she asked me if the other technician had scanned my drivers license!!! She watched me sign it! I could sit here and type out every single awful experience I’ve had at this pharmacy but it would take well over an hour. I’m changing my pharmacy first thing tomorrow so I don’t have to hassled about my birth control and how to use it! And that Shelly woman has no clue what the hell she is doing! For the safety of he public’s health and ability to access their prescribed medication please fire and re-hire that entire departments staff.
