I want to rave about my positive experience with Atlas Financial Services. Their customer service is fantastic. They are quick to respond, and their training/tutorials are a lifesaver when new staff is learning how to upload files. Their system is user friendly, and they are always available if hiccups arise. Highly recommend their services!

ETA: My experience is nearly identical to Beth's review, which is several reviews below mine. Yep, it's a scam. Let me tell you a fun story. A few years ago I sold my car to what I thought was a cute little family. I notified the Oregon DMV that my vehicle was sold, as required by law, and sent them all the required information. All done, right? Not quite. Years later I was sent a bill by Atlas Collections Agency. Apparently my old car had been found abandoned, was towed for $900 by a company, and then sold at auction. (That's quite a money making racket that tow company has going on, by the way, right?) What does that have to do with me, you ask? Well the buyer of my car never bothered to register or re-title the vehicle in their name. In OR, that means that my name was still loosely tied to the vehicle. For forever. Until someone ever decides to properly register it again. Apparently it's a weird loophole in their system, and even folks who sell their cars to used car lots can have the same issue. Regardless, I was not legally responsible for the car anymore. So I explain all this to Miss Tiffany at Atlas. I send her proof from the DMV that the car was recorded as being sold (which, by the way, cost me money to order from the DMV). That should have been the end of it. She says none of that matters, that I still have to pay $900 for a vehicle I sold years prior. She lies and says she spoke to the DMV (which the DMV informed me was not true, and that they can't give out that information to agencies, anyways.) That's not how any of this works, sweetie. That's illegal, folks. That breaks FDCPA Laws. I hired an attorney to write them a letter letting them know that what they're doing was illegal, and to stop contacting me since I had proven I was not responsible for the vehicle. I reported them to the Oregon Attorney General's office, DMV Fraud Prevention Unit, and filed a Consumer Complaint Form against them with the Oregon DOJ. The towing company, aka the original creditor, acknowledged that the car was sold and that I was not responsible for the debt, and pulled it from Atlas. My advice: Fight back. What Atlas is doing is wrong. I'm smart and healthy and well enough to fight back, but I can only imagine what this company would do if I was elderly or not of sound mind. And that has probably happened before.... and it's gross. And if you're a business owner hiring Atlas to get "debts" from this unscrupulous company and giving them 5 stars, just know that YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

I work with this company in a business capacity. I can understand the difference in ratings depending on which side of the fence you sit with the company. Naturally, if they are collecting a debt that you owe, you're not going to be happy with them even though they are doing what they are legally allowed to do. Unfortunately, the parties that have ended up going to collections through our business have 1) been deceptive to our business about contractual information 2) completely cut off communication despite repeated attempts through multiple avenues over months of time passed 3) avoided attempts by our business to pick up our rental property by retrieval at the contracted address which would avoid needing Atlas services altogether. Now, I cannot speak on behalf of other businesses and what parameters are considered when THEY send an account to Atlas. I can say, however, that OUR business only sends accounts to Atlas when all other options have been completely exhausted. We appreciate their services in such instances.

Atlas contacted me in August 2020 saying I owed nearly $600 to a towing company for towing my car in Feb. of 2020. The car in question was donated in March of 2017 and I have the receipt from the towing company to prove it. They also told me they had contacted the CA DMV where the car had been registered, and the car was still in my name. I was sure I had sent in the release of liability when I donated the vehicle. After spending nearly 3 hours on hold (thanks to Covid), the DMV confirmed that I had in fact sent in the release in 2017. So someone is running a scam here--either Atlas, or Speed's Towing of Portland, OR. Beware!! Negative stars, if possible.

Yes, we do. Would you like to be called to go over what services we provide?
Here is a website that accepts payments at https://www.clientaccessweb.com/Atlas/payments/ If for whatever reason you are unable to pay online, I recommend calling our office. Thank you for your question!
Good luck. They don't like to give you contact information. You could go directly to their business and ask.
