Miki is amazing and is more than a massage therapist. She genuinely cares and strives to help you heal and feel better by not only her massage, but by her vast knowledge of the body and teaching/showing you how to change physical habits to improve your health. She is very personable and makes you feel extremely comfortable and welcome…like your visiting a friend.

Miki is phenomenal, simple as that. I’m not sure how I was lucky enough to find Miki when I began looking for massage therapists in my area, but I’m lucky I did. She means it when she says she values building great working relationships. I don’t think I’ll ever need (or want) to go to another. When I was first trying to find a massage therapist, I would read reviews, and some of the most common complaints were; feeling rushed or the therapist not modulating their strength to what was needed. In my first session (90min), I set a timer when I went in. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the body. She had no issue adjusting her strength for large muscles, like thighs, back, and glutes; or smaller muscles, like the neck. After the session ended, I checked the time. It had been around 100 minutes. In the eight total appointments, I’ve done with Miki, I’ve never felt rushed. Miki has helped me recover from muscular and joint injuries (among other general mobility issues). I have a good understanding of kinesiology, which helps me describe my mobility issues. It’s fun to talk and work together to try and find the underlying mobility issues that I’ve had. It’s almost like getting a refresher course every time I go. On another note, she has a great look at health and fitness. It’s rare to find people who genuinely want to help not just make others feel better but try to teach them as well. Her range of experiences also is very different from my own. I enjoy listening to her perspectives and learning from her experiences. I often have as much fun puzzling issues and talking with Miki as with the actual massage. Overall, (if you can’t already tell) I would highly recommend going to Miki. Like I said earlier, I don’t think I’ll ever want to find another massage therapist. William Kirk

Miki is genuinely interested in what ails you and works tirelessly to help heal your body. I’ve had over 300 massages and she is one of the best, if not the best, massage therapist I’ve ever had. She gives you stretches and things to focus on to aid in your healing. She utilizes many different techniques including cupping and intraoral massage. I highly recommend Yaimayu Movement Therapy.

Miki is amazing! She is dedicated to furthering her education by attending classes and clinics. I have never had a more thorough assessment done by any medical professional. She is kind, thoughtful and compassionate. I highly recommend her.

Some people like deep force pressue because they believe pain is necessary to heal. This is not true, and misusing it can even cause tissue damage. I like to assess my patients' needs and adjust their treatments accordingly. I use to like receiving deep tissue massage myself, but over time I have learned that at times a gentle massage can be better for body and mind relaxation.
I recommend that you make your appintments well in advance. I do my best to coorinate myown scheduole with those of my patients, but it may be difficult to arrnage for same day services.
