I've lived around this "park" for 35 years and before it was considered a park it was an illegal dumping ground and they found 2500 square yards of buried, powered asbestos back there. When they were digging around and found the broken open bags of asbestos they didn't know what it was so they trucked it out on open gigantic dump trucks and the stuff blew all over our yards, houses, cars and us!!! That was at least 21 years ago and damage from asbestos takes at least 30 years to develop so who knows who will eventually get sick from it. We suffered greatly from the dozens and dozens of trucks roaring in and out of that mess back there. And a lot of the asbestos is still buried back there right under the parking lot. I think they sealed the stuff with clay or something but who knows if it is leeching out into the water. So I would not eat anything caught back there. Also I've been walking back there myself and the sounds from the interstate are really overwhelming when the wind is blowing just right.

It's pretty. Lots of Goose running around looking cute 😍

It kinda has a marsh, low wet land look to it which is unique for Indy. Great place for an easy walk. The highway is a bit distracting but overall it's a pretty peaceful place. The artwork that sands throughout the park is really cool. A lot of pieces that are fun to take picture with.

Great place to fish for largemouth if you can get to where the fish are holding (usually deep on ledges). Large area with historic stream (google the mystery) access is nice but full of trash. Also Constant freeway noise is an ear sore. But good to great fishing.

There is not. Only authorized/official vehicles can drive on the trail.
Yes. I especially see fishing being done right in the center; concrete pathed section, on the side away from the island. There's also beaver at work that swim back & forth that don't seem to affect the fishing.
Yes
Actually they have cut it this year i live next to the park and they are due to cut it again. They take really good care of that park normally.
It's art but I've notice it also gives you an idea how high and low the water is.
