The lake itself is awesome. Unless you have a hand launchable boat, the access is limited. You can't enter from the old dog park entrance and you can't walk across the dam to the other side. I'm old and that's a long walk to the other side to do a little fishing

Rode my bike down the dam road to the fence, then around the perimeter trail, out of the park thru the exit turnstile, and back up Quincy.

A getaway in the city. Great path for walking/running/ bike riding with plenty of places to go down to the water and play on the shore with the kids. I don't fish, but see plenty of people catching fish here. We see duck and geese families throughout the season as well as a lot of other cool birds. Great sunsets over the mountains as well. I really wish Quincy Reservoir was open during the winter months, but understand it serves a purpose to be closed.

Very nice place for an evening walk. Wish the $10 daily pass was less, but I do agree that is worth for people do fishing and take the maximum benefit from this place.

Are dogs allowed on leases to walk also?
Believe there are just the 2 canoes to rent.
Paddle Boards are allowed. Remember under Colorado Boating Regulations you will need a coast guard approved PFD or Lifejacket of appropriate size, so no adult life jacket on kids for example. As well as a sound device like a whistle. If you park in the parking lot the fee is $10 or you can buy an annual pass. Remember, even dropping off gear still requires a pass if you park outside the main gate.
Yes, you only pay for parking. So, if you walk in, there is no charge.
Just remember your required safety equipment as well. A coast guard approved life jacket or PFD of appropriate size and a sound device like a whistle.
The walking path, and dog park are available year round
U can only use fake bait. NO Power Bait, Worms. And U need a boat or a floater to really catch fish. I found it to be a total waste of time.
Probably not at Quincy Rservoir. Its an Aurora city park versus a State or National Park.
You also have to hand launch your boat. Trailer wheels can't touch water. Caly is right on with other stuff.
