I have never left a one star review for a business before. But wow this complex is terribly managed, DO NOT LIVE HERE. The reviews before this that have mentioned how long management takes to respond are spot on. We have had issues since the moment we moved in and management has taken weeks to respond, and that is when they actually do respond. The first day we moved in, the apartment was filthy. The ceiling vent was hanging open in the bathroom, the electrical box was wide open in the entry closet, the fridge was caked in whatever the previous tenant had spilled everywhere, there was a film of dust and dirt over the whole apartment, and the keys we were given not only didn’t work, but the apartment was wide open when we arrived. Since we’ve moved in, the issues have continued to pile up. The elevator didn’t work properly for weeks. Every time we contacted management, they would assure us it had been fixed, and every time, it had not. There is no certificate of inspection in the elevator so we have questioned its safety. Fortunately, this issue has finally been fixed. The shower head in the master bath is hanging out of the wall. When we contacted maintenance to fix it, they told us “that’s just how it is”. When we pushed them on it, they then said they could fix it, but they’d have to go into the drywall and it would take days. On top of that, the overflow knob in the other bathtub was not actually connected to any plumbing which led to a leak in the ceiling on the floor below us. Maintenance came in to fix it and told us they’d have to come back the next morning to fix it. They never came back. Management has assured us that maintenance said they fixed it. The WiFi has been an issue since we moved in. We received a credit for the $100 internet + cable package we are required to get as tenants our second month due to the spottiness, but the next month we did not, even though the decline in the WiFi was significantly worse. We both work from home and there was an entire week where we were unable to access our WiFi. When we contacted management about this and requested another credit for the month, management told us we should “try turning our router on and off.” The security in the building is nonexistent. We have been told since our move in date that a new fob system was in the works. All the amenities that we pay for as tenants are in the other building including where many of our packages get delivered and yet, we have to choose between having a fob for our building and having a fob for the other building to be able to get our packages and access the amenities. The fix for this while we wait (with no updates on when the system will finally be consolidated) is to leave one door to our building always unlocked. Right now we are waiting on a response from management on a “premium deluxe unit” fee that we’ve now noticed on our monthly rent which was not mentioned in our leasing process. I have lived in several apartment complexes in different cities over the years and I have never experienced such terrible management. Management does not care about the tenants at all, if they respond to any questions or concerns at all, it takes them forever. I highly suggest looking elsewhere in Fort Collins for living options.

IF I COULD I WOULD PUT ZERO STARS. waiting since last Thursday for an answer. They WOULD NOT take nor return phone calls. Then imagine that....after a week of non returned phone called we are suddenly denied but we do not get our $200 security deposit (to HOLD the apt) back. How many others are they doing this to. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME because if that is how they do business I am very thankful they deemed us unworthy of their flats.

Me and my wife have lived here two years now, and absolutely love it. It's really close to everything down town, and the faculty is absolutely amazing. Chad and Brittany do an incredible job assisting with questions, and are super friendly. You literally can not have a better staff. Maintenance, if needed, is also extremely timely and friendly as well. If you're looking at living down town, you can not go wrong with these apartments.

We have had a wonderful experience at the Mason Street Flats and the Community Manager, Tammy Peterson. We only needed to be in for a short time as we searched for a house and they were more than accommodating through the process! They accept dogs and are incredibly pet friendly throughout the complex so it was a great place to have our pups. Whenever we had any issues with appliances (which was not often), they were quick to respond to work orders and get us taken care of in a timely manner. I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Mason Street Flats.
