Free parking, no wait, friendly staff. But the Doctor, dismissive and compared new EKG not to last extremely troubling one 6 months ago but the one before there was damage to my heart from a year ago. Tells me nothing's wrong from looking at one when there was nothing wrong. I know there's damage bc the hospital told me they caused damage. I agree with other guide, don't waste your time you'll still need to go to another place for any answers at all.

This Doctor has lost any sense of compassion. I thought it was maybe a one time thing and returned only to be completely humiliated by Dr. Cherry again. I now know why her room has no recording signs.

I was being seen for splotchiness related to complications from bug bites. Could have been pruritus due to histamine. Could have been a staph infection. I don't know, because the APRN (not practitioner; just a nurse) walked out in the middle of the work-up because I was "frustrated." She said she would be right back and then left myself and my partner in there for 20 minutes. When I went to complain, they threatened to call security if I didn't get back in my room. My partner had to ask what was wrong with them. I tried to get the receptionist to take the visit off of my bill and she wouldn't. I threatened to call the police and she began locking doors and cabinets. The entire time I was calm; I got more excited than I was at the doctor's office relating the experience to a friend afterwards and he said he didn't understand, that I seemed entirely calm. My partner said I was entirely calm. There was no doctor present; only a PA-C and an APRN (again, that's a nurse, not a practitioner). There were no OHSU supervisors present, just a receptionist. This place should be shuttered. There is no oversight and nobody licensed to practice medicine without the supervision of a physician in the building. I am seriously considering contacting a lawyer.

My neighbor is a low income / uninsured Portland resident who was about to go to a local hospital emergency room to treat headaches / dizziness that was impacting his ability to work. He understood that a hospital emergency visit is expensive and did not want to be burdened with health care debt / monthly hospital bill payments. He was willing to pay a modest fee from the heath care provider and was not looking for a "handout". He reached out to me and I decided to call my friends at Portland City Hall - City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty's office. Her staff was very empathetic and suggested that we visit the OHSU Walk-in Clinic. He left work early the same afternoon (with his employer's permission) and was evaluated within a hour of his arrival and left a prescription to treat his symptoms. His condition has improved and he can perform his work with less stress / fatigue. We are delighted to have such a wonderful resource in our Community! ******10 STARS*****

The walk-in clinic does not prescribe or refill chronic pain medication or prescription for controlled substances.
