Avamere at Berry Park has been quite special to me over the years. The reason for this was the fact that my Mother and Father-in law were residence here when they no longer could stay in their home. Avamere was known as (C?) back then. Their experience was very good since socializing for them was important being new to the area. With that bit of information, I knew that when I was ready to have a place to live I would know that this facility would be my answer. I have not been disappointed as I can readily say that all the comforts that I need are taken care of. They take care of us with kindness and a smile.

I love this place! I am a piano player who comes in and plays for special events and holidays. The staff and residents are amazing! The building is beautiful and the residents seem like they’re always doing something fun. Staff seem to really care for their residents and attentive to their needs.

Please beware! Outside of a select few of the staff, these people have no regard for elderly people. Don’t be fooled, they’ll be on their best behavior for the tour and maybe even the first few months after that-if you’re lucky. Pursue any and all other options for senior living first. I don’t even feel comfortable recommending this place as a last resort. Do everything in your power to keep your loved ones out of this place. I don’t feel safe for my relative to even include my name on this review, I fear retaliation from Wendy and her gang. The place is emptier than its ever been and for good reason, it’s obvious that the administration here are only interested in the check they’re getting each month from the residents and not at all about the residents themselves. It’s very sad to see good people getting taken advantage of because they don’t have anyone to advocate for them. Run away as far as you can from here. I would also like to point out that one of the 5 star reviews left for Berry Park was from one of their current employees(Jill).

A cat died Saturday morning by a car and it's body was moved to the sidewalk right outside Berry Hill Retirement center, I notified a worker who told me a Maintenance person was aware of it, Monday morning the cat was still laying dead on the sidewalk. CAN'T NOT BELIEVE THIS PLACE WOULD TAKE SO LONG to take care of this!! HORRIBLE!!!
