Lovely local chocolatier with a beautiful collection of chocolate. I got the ten-bar box and can't wait to try them! The lady running the business received me warmly and shared some helpful insights about their chocolate (shop). This is sort of a shop/factory/cafe space although the cafe is closed at the moment and you'll rarely see production going on through the glass windows. I can only imagine how fun it would be to come have a drink or bite when it reopens.

A great place to see how the famous Woodblock Chocolates are made and to sample all the chocolate flavors. They also have a little space in the corner for people to sit down and chat. A great place to shop for special occasions or to bring a friend who is visiting Portland for the first time.

The staff is pretty informative - they'll inform the entire process of how the chocolate is made to you if you ask them. The list of products is very small, however, the chocolate is very good quality. I ordered a cold hot chocolate to go, and it didn't disappoint.

I love that they have samples for all of their chocolate. It's definitely a unique experience. My favorite was the hazelnuts covered with their double blend, and peruvian cacao! Not to mention that, all of their chocolate all come from different countries. For the quality of the chocolate, it's definitely worth the price!

Because they're a wonderful quality meant to be enjoyed not inhaled.
Hi Shirley, We do! Most of our chocolate is just cacao and sugar. Thank you!
It will open soon. Its going to be gorgeous place to enjoy hot chocolate and see the manufacturing of the chocolate. The chocolate bars are offere at thr New Season stores ....
Hi Marge, The block of chocolate is our 70% blend of Peruvian and Ecuadorian cacao. It can be eaten as is or broken up and used in any recipe where chocolate is needed. Chop it up and make your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe or anywhere you use chocolate. I believe you are referring to the cocoa beans. They are actually roasted Madagascar cocoa beans, not coffee. They are so tasty and healthy! Crack them carefully with your fingers and remove the shell. The insides (the nibs) can be used in salads, in cookies, in yogurt, on ice cream....Anywhere nuts go, nibs are usually quite good. Personally, I love to sprinkle some nibs on a PB&J. Have fun!!
