Honest, hard working group. Fair on their prices and always do great work. Wish they could bigger jobs, like motor repairs but everything else these are the guys!

Had my catalytic converter hacked off last night. By the time I had figured out what had happened and called around to multiple muffler shops it was past noon. Spoke to Jasper on the phone, who was friendly and knowledgeable. He quoted me a much fairer price than all of the other shops I called, and was able to get my truck up on the lift within a couple of hours. In and out on the same day with a smile. Discount Muffler’s team made an otherwise frustrating and drawn out experience a breeze. Will definitely recommend them to everyone I know in Portland for affordable and efficient exhaust work.

They replaced my wife's catalytic converter a couple years ago for such a great deal compared to any other shop in the area.. just had them do the same thing in my vehicle the other day for the same price.. well over a $100 cheaper then anyone else.. vehicle passed DEQ and I'm a Happy Camper.

Truth, closest muffler (and more) shop to me. Needed complete back half exhaust. My car is tiny. They put it on their schedule, ordered the parts. Had to wait for that appointment. They are a busy shop for good reason. The wait, and final price, was fair and more than worth it. My tiny car has found new energy. The muffler ordered was their idea, and it's perfect (and super quiet!). I will gladly request an appointment for my next exhaust repair. Their lot is tiny, be aware if you just want to pull in. Calling ahead solves that. Cheers.

Questions & Answers

I have 1970 Ford F103. Would it be better for me to buy exhaust system and have you install, or have you install one of yours?

Option one would be your best bet I think

What’s their average cost for a catalytic converter replacement on Volkswagens?

That I know of, they usually charge by the hour... Depending on where the converter is located, it could be a fairly inexpensive fix. I'd say look into how much the converter cost (online or a auto parts store) then go to them....
