Be careful when you visit this clinic. There are quite many hidden service fees that will not be disclosed to you if you didn't ask. Make sure you ask for a list of service fee before your visit, otherwise you will be surprised by a huge fee billing to you.

I went to Dr. Bessner and his staff because of tension headaches. Between his adjustments, Barbara's amazing massages, and some at-home exercises she showed me how to do, I don't get headaches anymore. I highly recommend going here!

I came in for pain relief during pregnancy and I have felt so much better after just a few short months! Barbara gives the best bodywork/massage and it's such a treat to come in for my appointment. The staff is just lovely and I have enjoyed getting to know them.

Once I start chiropractic treatment, do I have to go forever?

Richard Hull | Aug 18, 2019
Cedar Mill Back Pain Relief Center | Aug 18, 2019

No. First we will determine if chiropractic care can help you by taking a history and performing a physical examination. If we determine that chiropractic can be of benefit, then we will suggest an estimated, finite treatment period. If chiropractic care is not indicated, we will suggest other sources of help or refer you to another doctor. Every case is different and each person’s response varies.

An adjustment is the primary method of treatment utilized by doctors of chiropractic. There are various adjustment techniques, but typically adjustments are applied by hand with a low force, controlled velocity contact on a specific joint or spinal segment.

Four years of chiropractic college is required after completing specific, undergraduate requirements. The chiropractic college classes are very similar to medical school, however, the chiropractic student will spend more time on anatomy, nutrition and chiropractic technique where as the medical student will spend more time on pathology and pharmacology.

Is chiropractic safe?

Richard Hull | Aug 18, 2019

Chiropractic care is safe, effective, and generally free of side effects. In fact, recent studies have shown that patients with back pain have a higher chance of more serious side effects (including gastrointestinal bleeding) when taking over-the-counter (OTC) non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen.
