NOT SAFE, DONT STAY HERE!! NOT SAFE, DONT STAY HERE!! NOT SAFE,DONT STAY HERE!! First and Foremost, This is about the Safety of the community and the families traveling and trusting this hotel with their safety. In our opinion, This hotel is a safety risk to anyone who steps into it with electrical issues, cleanliness & lack of concern for the community in which you reside. Upon our Check in on Thursday, 7/28/2022, Once we identified the issues in Room 111, We made management aware of our concerns and asked for a change in room or if a suite wasn’t available, Two rooms with one not being charged due to the hotel being at fault. The manager threatened to cancel our reservation and then once I notified him I was going to make Expedia aware, the local PD & Codes & Compliance of the safety issues, He had maintenance add the batteries and my wife notified the front desk clerk Ruby (who was very helpful) that the fire alarms were working, We would deal with the rest. Once the fire alarms batteries were added because no batteries were in the fire alarms upon our arrival, We settled for batteries being installed by your maintenance man & testing to ensure they were operational, cleaning up the room ourselves and not having a phone was our choice because we had driven 700+ miles and nothing close was available, We are grandparents and I require medications at certain times. Cleaning our own room and settling without a phone is a trade to ensure my health is in order for my family. We woke up on Friday 7/29/2022 to 3 holes in the ceiling with water all over the floor and the risk of that water floating into the electrical box and causing possible fatal harm to my family and the electrical risk of burning down your hotel, risking injury & death, The Manager refused to take Any immediate action after being made aware of the situation immediately what was happening and the Great Safety Risk for the Patrons & the hotel, His reply was, “I will make Maintenance aware & Just looked back down at the desk and did nothing. If that ceiling would have completely fell through with water and we would have stepped out of our hotel bed in a hurry, We would all have been electrocuted because we identified a electrical box mounted to the floor under an A/C Unit! We agreed to stay with just the fire alarms batteries being installed and the fire alarm being made operational, NOT TO waking up to a room with the roof collapsing and leaking onto the bed and floor & the identified that the roof in Room# 213 had collapsed above us. Also not noticing the electrical box mounted to the floor next to the A/C and the electrical outlet hanging out the wall. We have pictures and videos with time stamps of the mornings damage from the ceiling , the electrical boxes on the floor and everything else we have complained about. We notified the Codes & Compliance department in The Summit Township and CC’d them on an email (with photos) we sent to make them aware of the dangers of the hotel for that community. We again, Do want a refund for our room which in our opinion should not even be a discussion due to the safety issues in themselves that we woke up too on Friday 7/29/2022. We have spoken with the parties involved for that process while filing a claim with Choice Hotels & Expedia. We will continue to follow up on those claims until we receive our refund. P.S. Both Hotels on that lot (Quality Inn & Suites/Super 8 owned by the same individual, His name was provided by a hotel employee Ruby, Our room# was 111 ) We have not received an refund as of Monday and only received an email from the manager refusing a refund and he did not address the real concerns which is the same thing he did while we were staying there. NOT SAFE, DO NOT STAY HERE!! **(Update: Expedia has refunded our money through travel credits because the hotel would not issue refund)**

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! It deserves a 0 star and to be shut down by the health department! Pay the extra money to stay in ANY other hotel! This place is deplorable! Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! It needs to be shut down by the health department. 1. Paid for non smoking room, we walked in and it smelled like a smokers lounge mixed with moth balls, so bad it instantly made you gag. They said they had no other rooms available. People were smoking right outside and it was puffing into the rooms through their janky air conditioner 2. It is filthy! There’s a dirty film covering everything including the linens! Bring socks or slides because your feet literally stick to the floor due to whatever kind of funk is coating it. 3. There is exposed electrical boxes—- highly unsafe especially when your staying with kids! 4. The pool is disgusting and filled with hair balls. NOTHING like the photos online, think motel on the side of the road 5. The bathroom is disgusting to the point if we didn’t come from the beach I wouldn’t have let my kids even touch foot inside! 6. The beds linens had a nasty film on them, the bed didnt align with the headboard, and no bed skirt to cover the completely stained mattresses! We checked for bedbugs and hopefully we weren’t wrong that we didn’t see them but honestly I wouldn’t put it past this place Pleaseeeeee do not stay here! A mix between horror movie motel where someone gets murdered and so much filth and rundown less that sleeping in our car would have been better. Unreal they are legally able to charge 200.00 a night! You couldn’t pay ME to stay here again not to mention the staff is useless!

Outside of building makes it deceiving because it could use a cleaning. Place is huge inside and kept decent, room was nice, beds could use an upgrading, don't expect a hot breakfast they are still not doing it. Also highway side parking lot was not fully lit up. Made me kinda nervous not having a good visual on my truck and trailer I was delivering the next day. Yes the truck was moved further back and pulled forward for a better visual but those lights above were not working

It was nothing like the pictures on line, was supposed to be none smoking and they sprayed a cleaner to try and hide it, it smelled so bad we couldn’t sleep because our eyes were burning. The room and bathroom were just filthy, floors were sticky our socks were black from it. The shower was disgusting! The beds were uncomfortable and blankets stunk. Very disappointed!!! Wanted to post pictures of the burns in everything and the filth, but won’t let me post pictures!
