A visit to the MCRD museum really enriched our experience on Family Day. In addition to the usual historical displays, the artwork was a happy surprise. During our visit in February 2019, there was a series of paintings depicting the Mexican-American war for California done by a retired Marine colonel in a style similar to Frederic Remington's Western paintings, and a photo essay "Why I am a Marine" from Afghanistan 2009.

Magnificent and intriguing historical displays for the young and old. Can take a self-guided tour. Be prepared to have a quick background check to get on the base where the museum is located. Well worth the time and effort.

Hi Jack, thanks for your question. Unfortunately there is no way to get those photos after graduation. The photos were likely not retained by the contracted photo company.

The MCRD Museum Foundation has select yearbook, composite photos, and platoon photos for Marines who graduated from MCRD San Diego. Please place your order online here: https://www.mcrdmuseum.org/photos-and-grad-books. If your year or graduating platoon is not listed we do not have it in our collection.

I’m trying to find my uncle’s boot camp graduation photo. My understanding is this can be done from your website. However, the website seems to be down. Is there another way I can get this process started? I’m hoping to have it by Christian.

Oops, I meant Christmas.

I order a platoon photo of my platoon #1087 graduating on October 13, 1972. I paid $53.49 on August 16, 2019 and I have not hear from you or received my picture?

Good Evening Mr. Witherilljk. Thank you for your message. I have notified our operations coordinator who should be reaching out shortly to the contact email provided in your order. Thank you again for your message, and we apologize for the delay in receiving your photograph.

Thank you for your service. I don't know if they would have kept the originals for this long. Your going to have to get on the phone and make some calls. Good luck!

I believe I was in platoon 3014. Entry date was 01/27/1978. Would it be possible to obtain platoon picture? If so, how much? Anyway to confirm also that it was 3014?
