went here for a family day.. and it was AMAZING! we're a family consisting of: 2 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 kid, and all 4 of us had lots of fun. this is coming from someone who's out of town/a tourist! 😁 parking was hard to get.. but we managed to get a good spot! it's all about waiting around and driving in circles. as soon as someone leaves their spot, it's taken instantly, which made finding a spot a struggle. we came around 1 pm and we were able to visit the first 3 floors! we missed the 4th & the floor below 1 but that was on us 😁 as we arrived late-ish. it was actually really fun but also very informative! i was totally geeking out and all of the information and animals that were on display! there were lots of other families there scattered around the place, and it was never super crowded in a room. there were lots of things to look at for all ages! no one felt left out. it may take a lot of walking around to look at everything, but, there are lots of benches and seats around. there's also hand sanitizer stations everywhere so use it!! final review: 100000/10, fun for all ages + the whole family, would definitely love to come back soon :^)

A great place to explore and learn. It’s nice to get to know so many things before our lives and what we have currently. It is a great place for weekend no matter for kids or adults.

Super cool museum! They managed to fit so much in a relatively small space. It was clean and very well organized and very interactive.

Yes, *but*: on free Tuesdays (once a month for this museum), they have stroller parking outside the building and none are allowed in, due to the high number of visitors for that day. They may even do this every Tuesday because the park is so packed on this day of the week; call ahead to find out.
I would phone the Museum to get the right person to speak with.
Not sure.... Give a call to museum.
Maybe try E-Bay or Craigslist
Last I heard from our Education staff, yes
No scooter, but they do offer wheelchairs
First Tuesday of each month is free for SD residents and military. Otherwise there is a discount for seniors and military on other days.
1st Tuesday of each month for local San Diego 🏖 residents and any active Military ⚔.

Local residents have a free day every month...2nd Tuesday i think... got to pay otherwise. Basic admission is $13 for adults
19.95 per adult and 11.95 for a child from 3 to 17 years old. They accept the Balboa park explorer pass that gives you access to various museums depending on the pass you buy.

They might be able to buy cheaper tickets if they provide school id.

Check out Go cards as well. Also look at multi museum passes and military discounts.

Yes, but look up the 'free Tuesday' schedule for Balboa Park. A handful of museums each week are free for SD residents. Granted, those free days are busy so arrive early for the best experience. Special exhibits cost extra.
