Fairly fun. The temporary Galileo exhibit was lots of fun since it was mostly hands on experiments beside simple descriptions of the physics. The siege exhibit was also really cool with a simulator for landing the space shuttle and a trivia game. I'm more interested in space flights than aircraft so I spent most of my time on that section of the museum. The airplane section was a lot larger than the space exhibit so I think it could be good if you're interested in airplanes. I wasn't quite prepared for the 9/11 exhibit but it was interesting and informative. Smallish museum but we spent a couple of hours reading placards and playing with the exhibits you were allowed to.

What a great experience for the whole family! The place was unexpectedly large! So many great things to see and do. The entire family really enjoyed our experience here! The only downside is that I wish the tickets were a tad bit more affordable. We spent almost $100 on a family of 4.

This was an excellent Museum but because of a fire back in the 70s a lot of original display planes and items were lost. They have done a super job replacing them and with beatutiful reproductions and the displays are laid out very intelligently with enough information to make them interesting as you walk by and not overload you with information. I actually rate this Museum at 4 to 4.5 Stars

I was pretty happy with this museum considering the relatively smaller size of it. It contained very pristine aircraft and was well designed with a nice layout. There is an outside patio that you come across along the tour. You can grab a bite from a limited menu and eat in the open air. I left feeling that there could have been more but I'm happy it exists to experience. Enter with the right expectations and you'll be happy with your decision. Enjoy if you decide to take the journey.

Nope. Reuben H. Fleet Science Center and San Diego Air and Space Museum are separate institutions
Tickets can be purchased at the door and online through our website.
A lot of the folks there are volunteering as docents, and usually have knowledge of the aerospace industry, or particular types of airframes. Good luck if you'd like to volunteer. I'm not familiar with who you'd need to speak to.
Yes, they are open. It is usually pretty empty on Easter.
Yes you can take a stroller in

Those answers are correct, but you can also purchase a 1- year membership to all 17 museums. If you live in the area and have friends or family who may join in multiple adventures, that may be the most economic choice.
The museum offers a $3 discount with a student ID. I need to make sure my Korean student ID is working fine. Great place to visit. I hope you have a good time.
I plan on 1-3 hours with my daughters. They are 8 and 9.
Very large parking area available. RV may be restricted to the general parking lot however. 10 minutes walk from museum
No, sorry, most of the museums here do not have any scooter or wheelchair rentals.
It's a history museum so there is a lot to read for adults that isn't so interesting to toddlers. The play area helps keep the kids busy but it's not a drop off play area so a parent or guardian needs to remain with kids.
$19.75 for adults 12 and up, $16.75 for retired military, seniors and students w/ID, $10.75 ages 3-11, 2 and under free. Active duty military free. Worth every penny IMHO, great, authentic space and aircraft displays and memorabilia.
You would have to call the museums to see which exhibitions they have at that specific times.
