Great community. Residents seem happy and engaged in activities and events like ice cream socials, happy hour, and exercise activities. The drumming activity looks especially fun.

I been with redwood heights for 2 years now going on 3 years. Love working here because the residents make it a fun place to work at. Love caring for all them. We have our ups and downs but we make redwood a fun place to work at. The culture of this community is nothing like I’ve experienced before. It’s like a family.

This place is the model of unprofessionalism. I suggest if you're looking for a place to work, you stay CLEAR away from this place. When I first applied, they hired me on the spot. They had called me in for orientation a week later, but when I arrived (10 minutes early) the lady organizing the orientation cancelled but she waited until 20 minutes after it's start time to advise people. While waiting for orientation to start (before my late cancel notice), one of the floor staff and a management member were having a loud, unsavory argument about short staffing and gossiping about another DSP with the door wide open in front of family members and residents. I didn't even work a day on the floor yet and after a week of doing online training I decided to just cut my losses and back out of being an employee. I had 3 years of caregiving experience under my belt at that point and I knew after that last encounter there that this place was no good. Again, do not tie yourself to this place it is awful.

I moved my dad from retirement home here in California that he was unhappy with to the Redwood Heights residence. Ever since he has been there, he calls me and tell me how helpful and friendly the staff is. When i call with any questions or concerns management always puts me at ease, they are wonderful. I feel I made the best decision moving my dad to Redwood Heights residence and my mind can be ease.
