The Lash Lounge Oakland – Rockridge

I went to this Lash Lounge for 3 month consistently every two weeks and honestly never felt completely satisfied. But for anyone considering here’s my opinion. Pros— they are very professional. I received email and text reminders about my appointment. The space is very clean and trendy. I never waited for an appointment and the staff was very pleasant. I originally enjoyed the experience enough to get a membership. (They took $209 out of my account every month for two refills.) The area also has a nice parking lot and other stores around it. Cons— After going for a while I noticed that my sets weren’t lasting as long. And one of the techs commented and said that my lashes seemed weaker and damaged. After research I did see many ppl recommending taking breaks from lashes. But here, even if you are a member, you will basically pay over 300$ if you choose to take a break. Secondly, I enjoy changing up my look and doing my makeup and even after buying the tea tree cleaner anytime I wore eyeliner (oil free) lashes would fall out like crazy. I looked so dull at my birthday dinner it was annoying. Third the fumes from the glue irritated my eyes and then I was blamed for having watery/twitchy eyes when one lash tech had to step away to wipe her eyes because the glue bothered her as well. The final decision to cancel my membership came when I got my lashes done on Aug 31 and then came for a refill Sept 12 and tech told me I had no lashes left? —which was strange because I’d just received compliments on my lashes the day prior at the beach… and so she decided to charge me for a full new set. When I questioned the manager about it she told me that with the fill you get 25 new lashes (which somehow takes an hour?) and anything over that will be considered a new set. So my membership barely covered anything and I had to pay another 209$. Also I’ve never been late, but this time I was 5 mins behind because I was looking for a parking spot and they attempted to cancel my appointment and still. Personally, I feel like they did not want me at the establishment… Hopefully this helps someone, there are way too many lash places in the Bay Area for this energy…
