Love shopping at Powell's- there's always a book or two you'll grab when you visit. Just a heads-up, selling your book can have a wait time of 30 mins to an hour because customers bring in like hundreds and don't want to just ship them from home :P I literally had just seven I needed to unload.. the staff was amazing and resilient about it though 👏🏼

I have been going to this bookstore since I was a kid its nice to see its still around. <3 i have so many good memories here with my friends. I hope powells books never leave cedar hills. Cannot wait to be back for more books. And its so nice to bring my children here <3

Took my grandsons to get a book, or books of choice. They use to live here, but don't anymore. They love books and reading. And have always loved Powells book store. We all were very happy. And so was their mother. The boys couldn't wait to share their books with their momma. Loved it.

Yes they do but good luck with that.. You bring in 100 books they maybe buy 5. 😂
When I was looking for a used book, I was told that they did not buy the in person and had to get them from their on-line service. That had caused less used book to be available in the section I was interested in.
Very healthy and safe. Masks required. Admission to the store monitored by staff in a friendly way. 6 feet between people. Staff at info desk and register behind glass.
They have Kpop books and autobiographies, coloring books, trivia, fan books, etc. But no albums
The website says they buy books Fri-Sun and gives the hours. Also it says to check with the location in case something changes.

Most of the time they do. As another mentioned, with the pandemic, it might be worth a call. I do know condition is everything! Years back as i finished college if you got 50 cents on the dollar you were doing great!

You can search the inventory online. There are two at the Hawthorne location and 4 in warehouse. I bet if you call them they can deliver one to the Cedar Crossings location.
You can call the store and ask for the used book buyer. If they don't want them, I'd offer them to the library for their used book sale.
According to their website you can sell books online 24 hours a day, 10am to 8pm Monday through Saturday and 11am to 6pm Sundays.
They buy all kinds, but their appetite varies day by day and store by store. I'd try something like that downtown.
