Eclectic collection of thrift store items with a larger than usual collection of vintage furniture and vintage clothing.

I always find something cool here... Shirts, hats, tools, books, and most recently a brand new king-sized heavy quilted bedspread. The selection is always changing week to week. A lady friend of mine loves shopping the vintage clothing rack.

I love this place. Always a treasure to be found. They are also the only place in town that prices reasonably for a thrift store. You can still get clothes and shoes here for $2-$10. Items are hit or miss, of course, but always a large selection and wide variety. Clothes, shoes, homegoods, scarves, jewelry, books, dishes, misc. Added bonus, the money you spend here helps fund scholarships for OSU students.

Although prices are reasonable, they are not picky about what they accept for consignment. So you have to wade through a lot of junk to find any treasures. Consigning here is not pleasant because people aren't required to read the guidelines before getting in line. Every day the list of accepted items change. I waited today for 20 minutes while the two unprepared people ahead of me in line took their time deciding which 15 items (daily limit) out of several boxes they brought in would be consigned. Lots of time was wasted because they hadn't read was was being accepted and we're trying to talk the volunteers into changing their rules. Most of what they ended up consigning were out of date and nobody would want them!

It's a smaller selection than the other thrift stores around town, but it seems to be growing.
You never really know what you will find at any thrift store, especially the O.S.U.Folklore Thrift Store.Even in your wildest imagination you will never know what you might come across..I alway's.find neat thing's their and sometime's not. There moderity priced and support the scholarship fund.I at time's bring in some thing's to consign in seeing that the proceed's will go to a good cause. My women volunteering their are very sweet and they know me by name. We have no plans in the near future.
I believe the current rate is 60/40. They accept items Tuesdays through Friday's 9 to 12. They have a board that says what they are not taking. Sometimes they have too many of something and just don't have space to accept more. They do not take furniture, appliances, or electronics. You are given a customer number and then they check you in and you chose the price of your items, you can only consign 12 a day. They tag them and put them out on the floor. Consignment is 30 days and you can collect a check each month if you are really consistent. After 30 days you can either take the item back, if it didn't sell or you can donate it and they mark it down. If it doesn't sell the second month, it gets donated to Vine Moses another local charity. All proceeds from sales go to support scholarships to OSU and other charity programs. Everyone who works there is a volunteer. They do have a Facebook page you can visit, OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop.
