Perfect hotel in downtown Asheville! I read some bad reviews both here and via Marriott and quite frankly none of them make sense to me. The location cannot be beat. You can walk to everything downtown. And they have free parking, something that no other downtown hotel has. The front desk staff were super friendly and efficient. The breakfast staff were as well and the breakfast itself was delicious and had a lot to offer. The outdoor pool was large and the pool deck very spacious as well in a peaceful setting with plenty of pool towels available nearby. The room was sparkling clean and very comfortable and modern. The bathroom was bright and a good size too. There was also a 24 hour gym. Ignore any bad reviews I am not sure what types of hotels those people normally stay at as this one is highly recommended!

Positive: Good staff, easy access. Negative: Pool was not available. Disappointing to pay $--- for the night and not have access to the pool. Too much chemical cleaners, smell was overwhelming strong throughout the hotel and unpleasant. It's understood that with covid, etc., but still too much.

Room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is well located and within easy walking distance of downtown and has several good local restaurants nearby. The attached restaurant and hotel bar was disappointing. Although it was called the chop house the menu was extremely limited and not a steak in sight. I had the wings followed by the burger both were satisfactory but nothing special.

I'm giving 3 stars primarily for the location. We spent the weekend, and the price was approx $250/night. For that price, breakfast should've been included instead of $14/person. Especially, when you consider they didn't clean our room. I had to go to the front desk to ask for additional coffee service, because the button for front desk didn't work on the phone. I was informed that they only clean the rooms every 3 days. For the price we paid for the weekend plus 2 breakfasts, I think they could afford to the additional staff to service rooms more often.
