From dryrought and black mold, outdated and unsafe appliances ( our water heater actuallycaught on fire Christmas morning), to chemical burns suffered to residents while taking a "relaxing jacuzzis"this community living complex "has it all".Be prepared to slip on wader boots in the winter before you walk to your car, as improper drainage is quiet and issue around the 30256 Thomas St. Units. Please contact tenants rights if you are a current resident experiencing an unsafe living environment while renting at the Village. The Village has so many complaints on file..research them prior to signing a lease.

My domestic partner and I had the pleasure of living here for 15 months. Management was professional and very helpful with excellent communication with us. The apartment was gorgeous- vaulted ceilings, large rooms , fireplace, washer and dryer in unit, beautiful kitchen with all appliances including microwave and dishwasher..two spacious patios, even an outer access storage space. Any maintenance request was handled promptly and the workmen were respectful of our floors and personal space. Neighbors above us had two large dogs and mid sized children..but we never heard them due to the ifine insulation...no clunking around above our heads etc. During the ice storm..all the trees were frozen and some of their limbs broke off and the walkways were very icy....they salted the walkways and clearly marked them with signs "caution icy" and cleared the fallen tree limbs away within 12 hours. There are so many parks and walking trails and shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The only weird thing that I experienced was when I tossed a garbage filled bag over into the dumpster and heard a blood curdling scream from inside the dumpster, and a lady jumped out and yelled at me for scaring her while she was looking thru the dumpsters for cans or something. Never saw that lady again after that...but I was more cautious to make sure nobody was inside there before throwing anything out. All in all...I really enjoyed my time living at Village Main Street.

Lived here for 6 years. Place is beautiful but management needs some fine tuning. Theft is on the rise here, early morning dumpster divers and car break-ins are frequent. Not gated nor regulated with security. Lights on the grounds need an overhau to say the least and unable to lock your own garage. Kids do run freely without adult supervision a lot, and people are lazy about picking up after their dog. Pool is crowded during the daytime and kiddie area is not heated like the pool water is. Place is clean, maintenance is always overwhelmed but do address your issues in a timely matter. Pet deposit and monthly fee is required but many do not comply and nothing happens if caught. Smoking only in designated areas, playgrounds always have trash around. Fountains no longer work and were made into planters due to the cost to run. Rent is outrageously high and continues to rise. 3 bedroom, with garage and 2 cats ran about $1800 per month. Began with $1100 in 2013. Overall it's the location. Close to Memorial Park, library, grocery store and fast food places. Public transit is also close. Elementary school, Boones Ferry Primary, Wood middle school and Wilsonville high school. The parking at V@MS is not reserved except for covered areas. Evening hours and weekends the parking becomes very limited, again the lights in areas either do not work, non existence, or not their problem it's the city's. Towing of cars is frequent as the towing company likes to go on the hunt daily and nightly just looking for any reason to tow, and they do! Resident vehicles must have parking sticker visibly showing at all times along with valid registration, or subject to be towed. Staff is very friendly but young with little life experience so common sense sometimes escapes their mind. Brad, the property manager who always wears a plaid shirt, is overall a good guy but definitely has an image to portray and protect. He is fair, does listen and addresses concerns but, has limited patience. Great community of people who live here and got your back! There is a Facebook group page for residents only, no management allowed, so everyone is pretty open and honest about current issues. The office can be reserved and rented out for parties, also a separate movie theater room that is next to the office. Both have been remodeled and are gorgeous!
