The discovery of this campground turned out to be a gem. Trails within the campground lead to for example the General Grant tree area. Cross the street and you can find the trail to Panoramic View. The campground itself is only 1.5 miles from the Village store.

Nice campground that's very close to the Grant Grove Visitor Center, Grant Grove Village and the General Grant Giant Sequoia and Grant Grove. The sites I like best are as follows: 40, 43, 44, 45, 60 tent only, 64, 57 tent or Van.

It's a great campsite with great views. Price: 18 per night. Go early to have a good site. The air was fresh in the great fir forest. You can also go back to the mountains to explore. Some sites are closer than others. At night, you can see the starry sky. It's beautiful. The location is also very convenient, where to play is not far. At the end of September, the temperature was right and there were not many people. The campsite actually belongs to king canyon national park, which is connected to sequoia national park. There is a giant tree trail near the campsite. It's also very beautiful. The bathrooms are clean and tidy, with flush toilets and running water. It's reasonably distributed. It's not even far from the site. We've camped here twice already, and it's a family favorite.

The nicer restrooms are away from the campground towards the road that leads to Sequoia trees. Those remain open and lit 24hrs a day.

Yes. Even during recent drought years, they never stopped allowing fires at Azalea.
